Client is going to take care of baseboards amd filler strips.

Finally happened! Cool moment in history 🙂 Was at a call to install a fridgeline. I know the neighbourhood. So I always check the back of the laundry tubs. I did the finishing in this house in 2003! Wild. Started in the trade June 1 2001 doing track Holmes for BE mechanical. Worked for them for 10 years. What a wild ride!

Business is growing!! Happy to be able to offer camera inspections and drain locates!

Basement 3pce rough in

Little bit of backfill, and closed up this floor.

Don’t judge! Lol they had roughed a double vanity with a ty for the drain on the horizontal, one drain wasn’t vented at all, both drains were in the middle of the drawers.
Vented both drains, raised them 5” and relocated water lines. Not always pretty, but do the best in the situation. Clients weren’t happy to open the walls again.

Client didn’t like the way the last guy went down the middle of his basement. So we wrapped the wall.
Also replaced drain to septic. Someone had bushed it down to 3” and had it sitting in another pipe. The stuff you find.

Everyone should know this

Been getting a lot of calls lately on small leaks. Most are either the toilet or the tub drain. Tub drains seals don’t last forever, it’s as easy as replacing the puddy around the drain. If you don’t feel confident, and your house is around 10 years old, preventative measures go along way!
Toilets, give it a little twist side to side, if it’s moving, this isn’t good. Not a bad idea to give the bolts a quarter turn. If it wiggles too much the seals will break, and leak. Never re use a wax seal. Also most floors aren’t level, nor are the bowls. Rubber toilet shims will give you a solid toilet

This was fun. 2” cast pipe underground had collapsed. So the owner decided it was a great time to change out the rest before it collapsed as well! He chipped the floor. Installed a sanitary backwater valve while we had the floor open. He’s going to hull out some of this concrete, I’ll be back next week to backfill with clear stone and cement the trench.

So backhoe showed up, got back here at 4, ram 160’ 2” abs sleeve, than ran 1” Polly pipe to secondary dwelling. Will run heat trace wire at a later date. Glad to be done. Water was deep lol

Got good start to this house. Deleted existing bathroom, relocated stack, toilet and added a shower. Then washer box and laundry tub on backside. Just waiting for walls to be built! Roughed in a new ensuite bathroom at front of house. More pics to come

Got this bathroom wrapped up. Decided to do a little backsplash with leftover tiles as the wall was far from square! Better than 1/2” of caulking 🙂

Well, guess they weren’t ready lol owner even jumped in the hole to try and help! Entertaining to say the least! Try again once they dig this trench a little better!

Got a call for a blocked drain. Tried to snake it, with no luck. Figured pipe had collapsed. Broke floor, found the collapse in a 4” wye. Replaced all piping, floor drain and new stack to kitchen and laundry. Thx for the work Brad

Well, someone got the wrong toilet carrier. Now need to build the wall out all the way across. Made for some fun getting wall mount faucet and carrier in 🙂 really like this carrier, nice design, solid, easy to install. I’m only doing plumbing on this one, and forgot to take a picture at the end with tub installed and all cleaned up due to helping the framer redo his door with my tools and got distracted! 🙂

Little bit of tree routes causing some issues. Nothing this t4 can’t handle!

Cut this floor open to replace the underground as it had holes in it and was backing up often. Unfortunately client had just finished the basement recently. For people going to do renovations with older houses, always always replace what you can before you start your Reno’s. To many times I’ve suggested people to replace plumbing in an upstairs bathroom. Not in budget they say. Spend $30k to do basement reno to have to tear it up after a poor let go and flooded their new renovation.

Nice little facelift! Had some mould to deal with. Put 1/2” plywood down to beef up floor. Pl and screwed every 6”. Out ditra and tile. Kerdi wrapped the shower walls, new tub, shower trim. (Kalia, my favourite) new vanity. Replaced door and casing as the existing was showing its age. New baseboards. Will come back to tile around new counter top as existing walls are showing how square they are 🙂

Getting there! Demo went well, found mould on the floor. Sprayed it down, also had to beef up the floor to use ditra. Pl 1/2” plywood down and screwed it good!
Beefed up the walls a bit, and new V***r barrier. Someone thought it would be a good idea to put allll the vents in the same wall as the shower valve was a genius! Had a little bit of fun
Waterproofing done, grout floor tmw, tile walls Monday! Almost there.
