We hope everyone had a great Halloween yesterday! Jake is officially back from his work trip and he was able to make it back in time for us to dress up as the Bluey family.

All skate sharpening's are done by hand using a professional Blademaster Skate Sharpening machine.

Jake's experience & machine allow him to sharpen hockey (player & goalie), recreational and figure skates with different radiuses and hollows (kids & adults).

$7 per pair

Hi everyone!
I'm Jake Clarke and I am a former professional hockey Equipment Manger now living in Findlay Creek (Ottawa), running Clarke Crew Skate Shop with my wife, Shayna Clarke.

Throughout my early adult life, I had an incredible opportunity to work in various levels of professional hockey as an equipment manager including the NHL followed by working for Play On! Canada putting on grass roots street hockey programs across Canada.

Ottawa became home in 2019 when I moved from the GTA to be with my now, wife Shayna Clarke. We moved to the Findlay Creek community in January 2020 and got married in July. In November 2021 we welcomed our son Ryker to the world. If you’ve been by our place for a sharpening or will be by in the future, I’m sure you will also meet our 8-year-old, VERY loud dog named Levi.

Clarke Crew Skate Shop got started by accident in January 2021 as the global pandemic closed most retail stores and arenas where you’d typically get your skates sharpened. Looking to help out a few community members, my wife offered up my services and we haven’t looked back since.

I was lucky in my career to be gifted a professional Blade Master skate sharpening machine which is the same one we use on the road in the NHL.

So, whether you're a pro or just looking to glide gracefully (or not so gracefully) on the ice, we're here to cater to your skate needs. Slide on by – we're excited to serve you!
