Congratulations to the Barrett Family for having one of Findlay Creek's parks named after them! This weekend Mark Sutcliffe and Councillor/Conseiller Steve Desroches helped honour one of Leitrim's first families. They even brought their 75 year old tractor for the kids to sit on!

The City also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Joanne Leroux and Normand Leroux for their service to the environment in Findlay Creek. Maybe you've seen them picking up trash! We appreciate their efforts!

Thank you to Enbridge for grilling the hotdogs; to FreshCo. for helping us supply the event; and Ottawa Fire Services and Taggart Realty for coming out in support of our newest park!

Starting early July, Bank Street within the Findlay Creek community will be closed to traffic from Shuttleworth Drive to Miikana/Blais Roads.
The closure is part of work on the Bank Street widening and reconstruction project, a multi-year project that will see the two-kilometre stretch of Bank Street, from south of Leitrim Road to south of Blais Road, widened from two lanes to four, and the addition of cycle tracks and sidewalks.
Findlay Creek businesses remain open and accessible so you can continue to shop local at your favourite retailers!
