This locally owned and family run small business has everything you would expect from a neighbourhood corner store and so much more! Stop in for a treat or to pick up essentials! This is not the front door we want as an entry to That Corner Store but, there are elements out there that have other ideas.

We regret to inform you that That Corner Store experienced a couple of break-ins – First in the early morning hours on September 1st, 2023, and second was today in the middle of the night.

We are very grateful to our amazing Ottawa Half Moon Bay Neighbourhood for all their support during these difficult times. Because of your support, we get up – we dust off and we are here to serve you. We are open and look forward to seeing you at That Corner Store. That Corner Store hours are changing for "Sunday", starting today, May 14th, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Lunch time, don’t have time to fix anything. We got you covered! Homemade potato patties burgers with some mild spices. Check it out!

JOB OPENING:
Cashier - Part-Time with That Corner Store

Job Description:
Greeting customers as they enter the store and providing friendly and efficient service throughout their visit.
Operating a cash register and other related equipment to process customer transactions.
Handling cash, credit card, and other types of payments accurately and securely.
Verifying the age of customers for certain products, such as OLG products or to***co.
Process courier service transactions
Maintaining a clean and organized environment at all times.
Assisting customers with questions or concerns regarding products or services offered by the store.
Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management of any items that need to be restocked or reordered.
Maintaining security by monitoring customers and preventing theft.
Collaborating with other team members to ensure a positive customer experience and efficient store operations.
Following all store policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

In addition to the above, a convenience store cashier is also responsible for opening or closing the store, counting the cash drawer at the end of their shift, and completing various administrative tasks such as reconciling sales reports or filing paperwork.
Performing other duties as assigned by store management.

Job Type: Part-time
Availability requirements: Evenings and weekends – 3:00PM to 9:30PM
