People often say they couldn’t imagine working with their spouse, but we actually started out as coworkers! We met while working at another company years ago, even before we began dating. We missed working together so much that we feel incredibly fortunate to have the chance to do it again. Today, we’re celebrating five wonderful years of marriage!

When you spend almost every minute of the day together, you start to get a good rhyme going! We do make a great team and we are happy that this helps us give our clients the perfect results.

This week’s clients ambitiously decided to put their house on the market asap to move before the next school year and we are so happy we were able to squeeze them in and help get the common areas ready for staging!

Who else is getting ready for a big move?

Don’t be mad butttt the heat wave might be our fault 🙈 🔥 we booked a job that involved painting up in a skylight so naturally it’s a now a million degrees!

Say it with us ‘WE DONT USE SILICONE’ 👏 👏 👏

Did you know that silicone caulking should only be used for areas know for frequent water contact such as bathtubs and sinks?
Using silicone in other areas is a common mistake. Paint cannot stick to it, it will instead bubble up and have a bad looking finish. When we find silicone caulking, like we did in a large window sill this week, we cut it out and then go over the area with acrylic caulking which can then be painted over.

When doing DIY projects at home, make sure you are using the proper materials to save yourself future hassle.

We took a 3 day weekend for a trip out of town to see friends and a concert. Hoping everyone got to enjoy their weekend as much as we did ☺️
Time for us to head home and get ready for a busy weekend of painting!

Out of all the questions we get asked ‘what’s that yellow thing?’ Is the question we get asked more than anything else. We added a can of Bubly for size reference.

While everything is turning green outside, the same can be true inside! We’re seeing a huge trend in sage and forest greens this season, including this warm welcoming entrance!

Hide and seek, bet you can’t find the giant water stain we covered up on this client’s ceiling after they had a leak!

To cover up big water stain like this, we first cover the affected area with an oil primer to prevent the stain from bleeding through. Often times, like this one, we still do some stipple repair so that you don’t have a smooth spot in the middle of your ceiling. To finish the job we paint over the entire ceiling with a flat finish paint.

Today consists of sanding, priming and painting a skylight. On a sunny day where it feels like 38.

We do more than just paint.
Look at this beautiful bedroom with high ceilings, it needed a lot of TLC but we’ve got you covered for that.
As you can see in the before photos, it had a lot of big cracks in the walls, holes, gaps in trim and baseboards but when we take our time to do things right we can completely transform its look!

Do you have a room in your house that could use a little extra love?

This teen was tired of the princess pink in their bedroom and opted for a deep forest green. We love knowing that these walls are the new background for all the art projects that will be decorating the room!

But also, can we talk about how silly some paint color names are, this is called Kennebunkport Green by Benjamin Moore

This job’s previous tenants asked if they could paint to make the place a bit roomier and let’s just say they had some.. bold colour choices.

Did you know that Benjamin Moore’s line of Command paint has a more durable finish and dries in 15 minutes?

Painting stairs is always tricky because we don’t want to trap our clients upstairs or have to keep pets locked up for hours so we were thrilled to get these steps fully painted in a couple hours!

It also helped us through painting 3 coats on the spindles! But man did it ever pay off 😍
