Dropped Hyphens, Split Infinitives, and Other Thrilling Developments from the 2019 American Copy Editors Society Conference You could feel the excitement in the room when a slide appeared with the heading “HYPHENS!”

I took one of the last tours of the Centre Block and Library of Parliament, which will be closing soon for major renovations over the next decade. You can see the benches for the members of Parliament have already been removed from the House of Commons (the pic with the green carpet).

Spending the weekend at the Editors Canada 2017 annual conference in Gatineau. The sessions have been amazing, including editing Indigenous text, self-publishing tips (including a presentation by me!), and editing for government. My brain is so full!

Flipped my office calendar today for June!

Just spent the day with some Editors Canada staff and board members to hammer out a communications strategy for the coming year. Then we saw these bilingual mood buttons on the table outside of our meeting room as we were leaving. Love it! Feeling

I'm back home! But these two goofballs are still suspicious of me.
