A reminder to set your waste at the curb no earlier than 6 pm the day before or by 7 am on your collection day. Check the online collection calendar at https://bit.ly/49W9TpK for your pick up day and talk to your landlord to know where to place your items.

Bill C-35 -- an Act respecting early learning and child care in Canada has officially received Royal Assent and is now federal law!

This is a significant achievement and milestone for child care in Canada and our early childhood education sector, as it brings crucial legislation enshrining the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care plan into law.

The Canadian Child Care Federation, along with its pan-Canadian affiliates – child care organizations across Canada – applaud the investment in, and the building of, the Canada-wide ELCC system. It cements federal funding so that families can access affordable, inclusive and high-quality ELCC for their children and it recognizes the value and importance of the ELCC workforce.

This has long been the focus of our work: holistic and comprehensive funding and policy that enables system building, creates inspiring learning environments and curriculum for
children, and builds positive working environments for educators – the professional women and men who provide that quality education and care.

Bill C-35 represents a major step forward in promoting the well-being and safety of children across Canada. With its passage into law, we will continue to transform ELCC services across
Canada.

Our dream to build a pan-Canadian system is coming to fruition. This legislation is the cornerstone to creating relevant, lively and respectful spaces for children that honour diversity
and difference --- spaces that are creating more liveable worlds for the children, the educators, the families and the community. Inspiring learning environments, lead to connected thriving
communities.

At Canadian Child Care Federation, we're committed to advocating for excellence in early learning and child care, and this legislative achievement aligns perfectly with our mission. We
applaud the efforts of policymakers, advocates, and stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to make this milestone a reality.
