Mortgage rule changes starting Dec 15
Purchasing Power just increased for 1st time home buyers .
First Time Home buyers who didn’t qualify to purchase a starter home previously may now have the ability to purchase .
Normally if you put less than 20 percent downpayment you can only stretch your payments over 25 years, now (Dec 15) it can be stretched to 30 years . It may help a portion of 1st time home buyers get into market.
Previously if you planned to purchase a home over $999,999 you had no choice to put less than 20 percent downpayment.
As of December 15 the purchase amount has been raised to $1.5 million ( Minimum 20 % downpayment)
