His program started as a segment in the early 1980s on Reggae in the Fields and eventually became its own program. Mr. Stanford was a valued host and creator at CKCU FM, and community member. He will always be remembered fondly.

For over 40 years, Mr. Stanford brought unique and valuable programming to the airwaves of CKCU-FM. Blending his passions, interests, and experiences, he created content that was sure to enrich the minds of anyone listening. A thoughtful and eloquent speaker, Lloyd presented and explored the arts of Canada, the Caribbean and the developing world in a way not found elsewhere in the community.

Today our host sits down with KAR33M, an Afro-soul musician and founder of Woke Studios. KAR33M has made a life dedicated to the arts, and through Woke Studios, has made it his goal to support Afro-diverse artists in collaboration with industry professionals.

In this episode, KAR33M shares his life path: moving to Canada from Nigeria, finding his purpose while planning his career, his collaborations with other artists in the industry, and more.
