Jessica K. says:
1) Did Dan make a noticeable impact on your performance, confidence, or love of music? Jess: Most definitely, at first when I started guitar lessons I was really iffy that I would end up 'dropping out' or becoming uninterested but afterwords I found myself buying two other guitars and continuing the lessons in school as a course, the guitar and I grew closer if that makes sense.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? Did he meet your goals towards helping you to move forward in music? Jess: His plan was excellent, it was reasonable because we moved at a pace that I was comfortable with, which made learning easier. It helped me learn all the basics I guitar which was difficult for me, and more.
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? Jess: Yes I enjoyed the lessons, it was great because before Dan I had a private teacher for guitar who was very bland and strict. Dan brought humour and showed joy for his work, which is really important because the more fun it is to learn the more you learn an actually remember. The sessions were great! Dan is fun, inspiring and knowledgeable. I couldn't ask for a better guitar teacher! I always looked forward to my lessons.
4) The big Question. Were you happy with your purchase? It definitely paid off, since Dan's classes I have bought a bass and electric guitar, which I play out of joy almost everyday whilst using the techniques Dan taught me! Billy C. says:
1) Did Dan make a noticeable impact on your performance, confidence, or love of music? Billy: Yeah he definitely did. I play smoother and I can play a long set without being sore because of the proper technique he taught me. He also taught a lot about music in general, and made me appreciate and understand it a lot more.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? Billy: I didn't really have any goals when I started lessons with him, but together we set them and he helped me reach them.
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? Billy: I really enjoyed the lessons. When I started I already knew a lot about theory and I could learn most songs by myself, so I didn't really know what I was going to learn in the lessons. In the end I learned things I had never known and additionally he taught me a lot about playing the bass, which I knew nothing about when I started lessons.
4) The big Question. Billy: Yes I was happy with my purchase. Nathan B. Nathan: Yes he did! Dan taught me from the basic playing position, all the way to more advanced scales and interval training. Dan also helped me to record my own track, and had some great lessons on music history.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? Nathan: Dan's lesson plans were great! At the begging of each semester he'd ask what goals I wanted to achieve by the end of the term and then help to make a plan to get there. Using this plan we were able to move forward in skills I thought would be useful for my playing style.
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? Nathan: The sessions were great, and Dan was defenitely a huge factor in bringing me back year after year!
4) The big Question. Nathan: Very happy with my investment in music lessons with Dan. He's a great teacher that will take the student in the direction they want to go with their music whether a beginner or a more advanced student. France P. France: Dan definitely made an impact on my love for music! He teaches guitar theory in a way that is easy to understand, and he makes it fun. Dan is also very versatile, which convinced me to listen to all different genres of music and grow in my understanding of music.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? France: He was always very organized, and always had a plan B when plan A couldn't work. He had a lot of really good tips and tricks, and a lot of patience with me as his student. This said, he definitely helped me move forward in my goals as a musician!
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? France: The sessions were great! France: Absolutely! Alex P. says:
Dan was a great teacher for me. He was always in a positive mood and was ready to help me with what I was struggling with. I felt very comfortable during our lessons together because they did not feel rushed and he always took his time with me. Before I started to see Dan for lessons I had no idea how to play my guitar. Today I can pick up my guitar and learn an entire song in about 20-30 minutes. I would highly recommend Dan because learning guitar can be challenging and without the right teacher, most people would give up on it like many of my friends. Having Dan as my teacher has been a rewarding experience that has made playing guitar something I plan on doing for the rest of my life. Mackenzie P. Mack: Yes, after taking the lessons I have a different way of listening to music and am able to better appreciate it I also feel that I've made a lot of progress with my instrument.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? Mack: The lessons were very reasonable, I definitely met my goals.
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? Mack: I did very much enjoy the lessons.
4) The big Question. Mack: I am happy with it. I made a lot of progress that I couldn't have made nearly as efficiently if I learned on my own. Sophie S. Says:
1) Did Dan make a noticeable impact on your performance, confidence, or love of music? Sophie: I didn't attend lessons for very long, but it was great while it lasted. The songs he made me plays were really helpful for what I wanted to achieve guitar wise. I would've loved to keep taking lessons but other things got in the way and I wasn't able to do so.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? Sophie: Again, it would've been more helpful if i would've stayed for a longer period of time. With that said, he did teach me a lot of techniques that were very helpful and that helped me grow on my own even after I stopped taking lessons. Lesson plans were very reasonable and shifted towards the learners needs and interests.
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? Sophie: Very much.
4) The big Question. Sophie: Totally happy. Although i wish i had more money and more time on my hands to keep taking lessons. Megan K. Meg: Yeah sure, yes he did he made me feel more confident in my music.
2) Was Dan reasonable with his lesson plan? Meg: Yes he was very reasonable with his lesson plan and I've moved a lot forward with my music.
3) Did you enjoy the sessions? Meg: Yes I did a lot when I go back in September I've asked for Danny as my teacher again.
4) The big Question. Meg: I was very happy with my purchase.
