Made a Harp stand out of solid walnut. A friend of the client will apply a clear finish.

A tiny window that I made for a tiny door that I made for a tiny house that somebody else made… The window is made out of one 6 foot clear Cedar 2 x 4 and the door is made out of 2 x 6 clear yellow cedar. Just need to apply the finishes and install this door next week.

One of these things is not like the others....

Just picked up another load of yellow cedar for the handles of my custom handmade fishing gaffes. Time to run another batch! Gaffes are available in 18”, 24” and 36” handles. Marine grade hand bent hooks and collars.

Delivered a shipment of my handmade fishing gaffs, fish bonkers and novelty plug lures to Trotac Marine today in Victoria! Gaffs are available in 18, 24 & 36” handles. Hand bent marine grade stainless steel gaff hooks and collars.

Some simple shelving and closet rods makes for lots of storage space!

This is a 36 x 36 x 18“ two drawer cabinet for crafting supplies. I decided to do a Douglasfir and cherry surface. I did not sand the top perfectly flat as I wanted to be able to feel the texture of each individual piece.

Replaced an old deck under an already existing roof...

These are photos of a deck I took apart almost completely without tools as it was so rotted. This shows how having an improperly built deck could be very dangerous... Wrong fasteners, wrong materials, wrong spacing of joists for the decking used... If you'd like a deck done properly do your research or just send me a message and I'll build it for you! Completed a small landing with stairs and handrail today just south of Nanaimo. Siding company will complete siding tomorrow . Materials consist of a mix of Douglas Fir, Cedar and spruce. If you haven't been yet, please check out my web page at islandtopsanddoors.ca

Made a small dog kennel for display in my neighbouring business which is a doggy daycare… These dog kennels can be for small dogs or large dogs or any dogs in between or even cats… Just a little nicer looking than those plastic ones from the pet stores…

Double barn doors in the showroom are almost done.... next is some baseboard and flooring. The Barn Doors are made from Douglas fir as well as the header, casing, and door jamb. I have been fortunate enough to live in both BC and Alberta for most of my adult life, with a short 2 1/2 year stint in the Yukon. When I saw this view on my way home from the shop today, I had to stop and take a photograph. We sometimes are too busy or in too much of a rush to really appreciate all the beauty that surrounds us everyday. so next time you see a beautiful scene, I hope you're able to pause and appreciate.
