Important day yesterday, and the buildup to it has been legendary! For starters.. Truckers all across Canada have united, to push back on mandates affecting Canadians everywhere. This will affect everybody, don’t kid yourself.
From what I’ve heard from a great friend of mine in Vancouver, is when the convoy of trucks left Delta. The lineup was 70 km’s long! No joke.
What’s worth noting as well is, yesterday was the official DEFEAT THE MANDATES peace March in Washington DC.
Relevant history is being played out here, and it’s happening now. We get it, we should all use pro caution. Go get the vaccination, if you believe it’ll help you. Don’t go and judge your neighbours though, if they feel differently about it.
They’ve raised over 3.4 million to help costs associated with travel to Ottawa so far. I’ve also heard that Trudeau made plans to leave town, when they arrive. My friends in Australia have been sharing what is going on there. You want a taste of what’s potentially coming, look at the restrictions and policies being introduced in that beautiful country. Madness. I could go on & on, you get the idea. Do your own research and see what’s happening, if you are even the slightest bit curious. It’s worth paying a bit of attention.
Here’s to the truth of the ACTUAL origins of this god awful virus. Here’s to holding accountable the people that brought it into existence. If that is the case. Here’s to holding accountable the people, that put restrictions on paying respects to family members before they died alone in the hospital. Here’s to integrating real scientific solutions to treating the virus. Not putting restrictions on sound treatments, that kept people affected out of the hospitals. Here’s to abolishing censorship to real conversations, from BOTH sides of the coin. Here’s to putting an end to the division between your neighbours. Here’s to bright and beautiful futures, for your families & friends to enjoy. One where we still have a choice in what affects us all. That’s enough of a ramble for now..
All the best to each & every one of you that read this far. Much love, more..✊

Oliver, BC. One of the raddest small towns on Earth.
Here’s another short vid I created for Oliver tourism, over the past year & a bit. I believe there were 3 of these that were shared so far, this was one of them. I’ll share another at some point here.
This one is devoted to the town I grew up in, and the place I’ve shared countless positive memories throughout. This spot is just down the road from my folks place. A cousin of mine & I climbed up into the upper level of this barn, when we were kids. Just as I was balancing on some rickety wooden floor boards, that were still in place holding up that 2nd storey. A barn owl flew out from a shadowy corner. It dropped down right over our heads and out a window. Was quite a moment! We both nearly s**t ourselves, haha. What a time!
A lot of history surrounding the Haynes ranch. I’m not going to get into it now, ‘cause I turned 42 today and have some pumpkin pie to dig into. My favourite!!
All the best to all of you out there! Enjoy the times you have. Express the love you have for the people that care about you. Take time out of your busy schedge and share moments with the people in your life that pick you up. This amazing life won’t last forever. So make ‘em count..💚
Ciao for now..🤟

Happy Mother’s Day!!
Quick story to get up to speed, been a while.. A couple months back, I had the biggest project of my life offered to me. Deadline was tight, real tight! 6 complete videos in a fairly polished rough form, in just over 3 weeks. Pre-Production was a 4 day venture, following week I was shooting interviews with four promotional video introductions. Post work obviously followed. I had about a 1000 photographs to manipulate throughout, 65 BC based food producers to represent and gov’t funded money to look forward to down the road. If I was able to produce. So I focused attention on that, put social media and every other venture aside. Put my head down and worked. In the last 3 days, I put over 55 hrs on the laptop. Drank so much caffeine, I can now choke thinking about. Also put my back out, just sitting there. Seriously, haven’t sat that still in a very long time. Not my nature in the slightest, but a concentrated effort worth every penny in the end. I needed a big break and boy, did I get one.
Took a further 3 revisions with an art team out of Victoria, fine tuned each vid to where we were all confident with the results and WHAM!! Back to a normal schedule, sorting out what was pushed aside, to make this whole thing happen.
Upon completing that venture, my focus still remains the same. If you don’t put attention on your responsibilities, your family & your health. You fall behind. Not the greatest place to be. Felt like the year prior to my marriage disintegrating, and the years that followed up to this point, I’ve been doing just that. Picking up pieces and putting them back together. Probably why when you see my Posts on Insta, that’s what they reflect. Family, friends & my favourite work. I hope to share that venture I spoke of, with you all eventually.
In the meantime, here’s my Mama. One of the fiercest, most beautiful, incredibly loving & wonderful souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing time. Let alone be the one I get to call Ma. Love you Victoria, you are one of life’s true treasures. Good day to you & then some..💚💯‼️

Valentine’s Day turned out to be a real hit this year!! Was either a day of skiing, or a last minute family day of ice fishing. Haven’t seen enough of these beautiful people, on account of our busy lives. Sure was a killer outing!
In the first five minutes of arriving, we had our first pole rigged and in the hole. Had nearly a dozen fish on in the first hour, then she went quiet. Here’s a handful or two of the fish that were caught. Was a catch and release kinda day, although we did keep one of the bigger rainbows. That little beauty will be marinating in a tasty brine and a applewood smoke will follow. Be some delicious snacks, sure of that!
Here’s to wholesome outings with quality people. May they happen more and more!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Got to spend the majority of mine with my favourite person. Hope you got to do the same, Cheers!
Morning Star Log Cabin. Located in the West Koots, with a beautiful view of Nelson B.C. Here’s a place you may wish to seek out someday!
Just completed a short video collaboration with .
If you hadn’t known, Maria rents out unique and affordable, beautiful vacation rental properties. Whether you’re passing through the Kootenays on a powder filled ski holiday to , coming to ride the legendary . Or you are simply taking in the breathtaking surroundings, with family or friends. You would appreciate the options, if you’re lucky enough to snag up one of her several accommodations available, throughout the year.
Maria and I have been friends for a good while. The first time I stayed in one of her suites, was back in ‘05 I believe. I’ve been coming back to stay ever since, but this time around was my first time experiencing the Morning Star log cabin. You will soon find out why so many guests to the area, book with her. If you’re new to the area, you will also realize why so many wish to spend time immersing themselves in the Kootenay mountain culture.
See for yourself, why this area has been held in such high regard for so many. Enjoy..🤟
..my fave!! Longest book he’s read to date. Curious George..circa 1952. Well done kiddo..👌
Throwback, this last week or so.. 🤟😌
Such a great time of year!! I appreciate above all else, time spent with quality people. Here’s my finest company, this little gem right here!
Another thing I’ve been doing a lot of, is going thru the piles of s**t I have in stowaway locales. Every few months, I take another stab at the pile. Best thing about minimizing the material jargon, works wonders on the ability to psyche up without distraction. Then there’s little surprises. Like finding in the midst of all, a Tupperware container with my little mans pony tail. Around the age of 4, it was decided to shorten his do! The fuel to fire up and forge forward, favourite snack time action. Pile up the healthy veg and he goes for it, still carnivorous as heck! My artisan butcher father is so proud..✊
A reminisce or two from time to time, like a shot of me I found when I was about my sons age. Then there’s my other fave person, unfortunately she’s stuck in New York since this garbage with COVID began. Doesn’t she look like she could be on the set of Dazed & Confused..👌She’s gonna kill me when she finds out I posted THIS one..Oopsie. Sorry Sis! My 1st & only dirt bike I bought for myself when I was 14, took that machine EVERYwhere. Good times!
Minimized the silverware collection to a mere handful or two, Haha. The family in India that took about a month to create this beautiful blanket, incredible! What a find!! Meant to use it for about 14 yrs, I should make that happen eventually here. She’s a beauty! Then there’s my fave art pieces. Been contributing to that collection since I was 12, started with my 1st signed print of a John Salsnek painting. Peregrine falcon hunting a small bird in flight. Couldn’t help myself, had to have. John delivered it himself, that was cool! Threw in the B&W cat, great guy!
On another note, I have several sweet video projects I’ve been working on this last year. Starting the post-work soon. Taking the time to clear out the clutter. Working wonders on my focus! Hope to share more soon..Merry Christmas & much 💚‼️

November Blues !!
This time of year is always so busy for me! Seasons shifting, chasing daylight day after day and that bitter arctic air settling in for a good haul.
Attempting to complete primary projects, clearing a path to more personal ones. Have so many piling up these days, it seems. Sorta burnt out recently. Too many late nights bustin’ ass & grinding ‘er out possibly. In need of a breather one might say, for more than a small portion of a day.
If you appreciate the outdoors like myself, maybe the mountains call to you. I know they call to me. One thing I look forward to, is exploring as many as possibly during the winter. In the deepest snow imaginable too..🙌 One can hope!
Those moments quiet the mind, especially when it happens to stray to nonsense going on in the world at large.
Quality moments will be sought out, I wish as many upon you too in your travels. Good day to you..🙂

Red Riding Hood cont’d..
This project was a fun one to collaborate on. When we discussed working together back in the day, I asked ***ir to send me anything that spurred something to explore. As far as inspiration, anyways. She sent me a shot of a woman, with a Little Red Riding Hood theme. I gave it some thought that night. Then an opportunity opened up a couple days later. We were in the hills shooting, trying to beat the darkness. Was a thrown together project, from start to finish. That was the 1st time I met her, in the flesh. She really is an awesome individual! Some depth to that spirit for sure, no doubt about it. I was very fortunate to collaborate with her!
I give thanks to her for being rock solid on the day. To run thru those trails, over creeks, up & down a mountainside & all over the slippery rocks beneath the waterfall on location. Was something to witness! In those leather bound sandals no less, amazing!
This last post is an ode to you, THANK YOU GINGY..🙌

Life is Good..💯
Changed perspectives so many times, over the past few years. Slight shift in attitude, prioritizing yourself takes on a whole new meaning. Lightened the load heavily!
Discovered that relationships are so utterly tedious, when presented with what truly matters to YOU. Like your direction and where that takes you. The attention you keep, with the seeds that you sow. What drives you forward, when circumstance pulls you down. Pay attention to that, or the people that are there to assist you when you are in that place. Good or bad, especially though when things are worse for wear. Remove the garbage, see what is left. Surprising. Then again, maybe not..
Posted shots of my favourite person, the vehicle that transports me to happier places & some sights I enjoyed taking in lately. All the best to you..🙏
@ Okanagan
Sometimes I luck out and get to work with really cool vehicles. On this bright & sunny day, I was blessed with this beauty!
To be completely honest, this is the nicest Turbo Diesel I’ve ever seen!! Owned a few Toyota’s, been a fan for a good while. Even owned a RHD Land Cruiser Turbo Diesel myself, back in the day. Nothing like this one though.. This one’s worth a bit of a ramble..🙌💯 Even the showroom version would’ve been blown away at the shine on this little beauty!
Anyways, here’s one of the vantage points I had the pleasure of shooting off today. Hope to share you the vid soon enough too..Cheers!

[ RED RIDING HOOD ] ..short video coming soon..🙌
Halloween is rapidly approaching, where is the time going?!! Had an opportunity to collaborate with ***ir , another local artist from the Okanagan.
Although I’ve worked in dramatic productions in the past, I’d never accomplished one entirely on my own. This genre is completely new to me. Besides sketching bo***ir styles in charcoal, as a kid.
The smoke was still heavy in the air. Gave everything an eerie ness to it, that you couldn’t replicate otherwise. We had a very tight window of light, before the sun went down. Threw the cameras around in a few different positions, to acquire coverage for story points. SliderOnePro from made a small appearance. As did the Gravity G2, for several run & gun sequences. We were both either running to the next setup, or hurrying up to wait for the equipment to get dialed in. Walked out of the forest, with enough time to have a quick bite & drive out in darkness. Turned out to be quite the adventure!
The actor in this case, was amazingly cool all around. The amount of running thru the forest in leather bound sandals, let alone the wardrobe chosen on the day. Up & down mountainsides, small creek crossings & a forest trail network to navigate. We had our work cut out for us, to be honest. Thankfully I was packing lighter than usual, a comment made by a good friend always comes to mind for this kind of situation. He was with the Royal Green Jacket from England back in the day. A driller of mine on Rig #1, for Bonanza Drilling. T.Leigh would say, “Proper Preparation Prevents a P**s Poor Performance.” I agree! The last thing you wanna do, is get a half a world away and realize you forgot something you need to complete a task.
Here’s my take on a classic tale, told in a slightly different way. Hope to have the equipment delivered soon, so I’m able to get the post work done and get this out to share before Halloween this year!
Have a great weekend, Cheers.

~Bob Ross
Don’t know if you made it to the Penticton Art Gallery to see the showing at the moment..
The Bob Ross show runs till the 13th, that’s tomorrow. Check it out if you have the time!
Bob is the most iconic tv artist personalities in history. This is DEFINITELY worth checking out!
If you haven’t ever heard of Bob Ross, you would still enjoy this show. This painting here is a personal favourite of mine.
Little history lesson..
Robert Norman Ross was born in Daytona, Florida on October 29th in ‘42. Bob enlisted in the military and was in the Air Force for about 20 yrs. While stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, Bob took a painting course and developed a real love for painting. Bob would eventually master a technique he was inspired by on a tv show called ‘The Magic of Oil Painting’ hosted by German painter, William Alexander. This technique was called wet-on-wet, otherwise known as Alla Prima or Direct Painting. Bob eventually mastered his own version.
Artists such as Claude Monet or Vincent Van Gogh also used this method.
Bob Ross launched ‘The Joy of Painting’ with partners on PBS in 1983. The show aired over 400 episodes and ran till 1994. Even today it is still one of the most popular tv shows in history, on public television.
Even today, thousands of instructors around the world teach his techniques. Thus continuing to inspire people all over the world to paint. Bob would usually paint an entire painting in about 30 minutes, he also did 3 versions of every one televised. A practise version which he used as reference, the one painted on the show & a final more detailed version for instructional books.
Bob was most known for his permed hair, which he actually disliked but kept after the likeness was integrated into the company logo.
I was asked to shoot a video of this event. If I’m able, I will post it later. Enjoy the show!

Got in some camping over the weekend. Great days to do it up!
Young fellers created some forest artwork, as they were calling it. That’s what became of some standing deadfall, pushed over by these mighty little men. Kept them busy for quite a while, good times!
Nice timeout, been needing some fresh outdoor mountain air. Here’s to getting outside, clearing your mind of clutter & making the best of your surroundings. Whatever they may be. Cheers!

Finished up several jobs recently. You know what they say about one door closing, well..
Found a clean flat gravel yard, next to a beautiful home early last week. Perched way up on Anarchist Mtn. With the assistance of a director, a foreman, couple mules each day & a plethora of tools. Not to mention a good localized supply of stones, ranging from a mere couple ounces to several hundred kilos. In 4 days time, we constructed a sweet xeriscape garden. Complete with an island rocky outcrop, cascading waterfall. A meandering dry riverbed to waterfall exit, on the far end of the property. Incognito drip water system, feeding the multiple species of flora & fauna. A symphony of organic landscaping efforts..✊😉
Leaving the site on one occasion, a healthy black bear crossed the road. Just north of the property. Seemed undeterred, casual stroll thru the neighbourhood on a berry hunt I presume. Had what appeared to be a smile going the whole time, seemed awfully suspicious! Fuzzy looking partially friendly to a point, 6 foot or taller Black Bear. Paused for a moment to say good day, then off he went. Was a nice project to finish off the week, Stoked!
