If you have been receiving phone calls offering service from people claiming to be from Harris I.T. Solutions They do not work for me.

Over the last few weeks, I have been receiving calls from people in the USA claiming that a representative from Harris I.T. Solutions has contacted them with claims that their computers are spreading viruses. They then connect to their computers and retrieve banking information or bill them from $300 to $700 USD for the call.

I am very disturbed that these unscrupulous people are taking advantage of the mainly elderly computer users in my name. Your computer does not report back to a central company be it Microsoft or Harris I.T. Solutions to inform them of your computer’s well being.

Please stay safe in these strange times and we can get through this together.

Twice this year now I have received a phone call or letter asking if I was the one that has put a charge on their credit card. It was not me.
If you receive a phone call from a Harris I.T. Solutions stating that your computer is sending us error messages it is not me. I will never call a client looking to do work.
Your computer is not sending anyone error messages.
Please do not give them access to your computer or your credit card.
If you are unsure please contact me.

In the office today building computers, preparing for calls and listening to The Man In Black

This has happened to a few of my clients over the past few years.
I was called when it happened and was asked what they should do.
I went over, took out there last backup that I setup and restored their data. At most they were out a day or two and my bill was far less then the prices stated here in this article.
These clients had anti-virus, spyware software and firewalls on their networks but there is always a way in. We block what we can but for the most part it is human error.

Attention Friends, just a little heads up.

Monday May 7th at 13:55 EDT, there will be a test of Canada's new Public Emergency Alert System which will send a test message to ALL devices connected to an LTE Network.

The test may involve a "distinctive" tone (depending on your carrier) and may require users to acknowledge receipt before normal function will resume.

Another Windows 10 update? It is a big one too. It is supposed to fix some of the hardware issues we have been experiencing since the last Windows 10 update. Just to be safe back up your data before the update happens to you. Better to be safe than sorry.

So you have turned your computer on and it is at the Windows 10 licence agreement page. You can decline the agreement and the computer will restore your previous version of Windows.
You may need to do some tweaking but you will have the original version of Windows again.
