CONGRATULATIONS on your DREAM JOB! Mark served in the armed forces and was feeling unsatisfied with the first career he found after transitioning to civilian life. He actively pursued becoming a police constable without any luck. After partnering with an Agilec Career Coach, Mark was able to land a position with the Police Department. With the support of his Career Coach, he finished his technician position, navigated residential re-location, and commenced training in his dream job. (The story above is a true event. À sa libération des FAC, il a trouvé un poste de technicien et a rapidement déterminé qu'il n'était pas satisfait de l'emploi qu'il avait trouvé. Cherchant à changer sa situation, il a décidé de devenir agent de police de manière indépendante, sans aucune chance. Après s'être associé à un coach des services de transition de carrière chez Agilec et avoir découvert la variété de services disponibles (comme améliorer ses compétences en rédaction de CV, se préparer aux entretiens d'embauche et se former grâce à LinkedIn Learning), Mark a pu décrocher un poste au sein du service de police. Avec le soutien de son coach CTS, il a terminé son poste de technicien, a effectué un déménagement résidentiel et a commencé une formation pour l'emploi de ses rêves. If you’re interested in working in a trade but don’t have the skills or experience to get a job as an apprentice, you can apply for the Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program. The program is free, including the costs for textbooks, safety equipment, and tools. The training goes for up to 52 weeks and starts at different times throughout the year.

You can receive:

• Safety training for skilled trades
• Training to improve your academic skills
• Basic level apprenticeship in-school training

Food banks are seeing record number of people using their services right now, it’s so important if your able to help please do! $10 to $20 worth of food donated means some people are going to be able to eat dinner, or some children are going to go to school with food in their stomachs so if you can please help!

ARGHHH MATEYS, the pirates are coming this Saturday!

Before they sail the high seas to collect the bounty, our pirates are busy distributing flyers to your mailboxes this week!

If you are able, please leave a donation bag on your porch by 9am Saturday, attach our flyer- and our pirates will be around the entire city to collect the treasures!

Any & all non perishable food items are appreciated especially:
•Tuna
•Pasta sauce
•Mac and cheese
•Peanut butter
•Individually packaged children’s school snacks (apple sauce, fruit cups, chewy bars ext)

Our volunteers do their very best, but inevitably some bags do get missed. If this happens, we apologize and would love if you could drop it off in the bins outside of our warehouse at 665 Neal drive, or in one of our bins located in all local grocery stores!
