🌿Tween/Teen Yoga🌿
These classes are designed to help build the foundation for young people to live a healthy lifestyle – both mentally and physically. Each class offers participants an opportunity to connect with themselves and others in a supportive, non-judgmental, non-competitive environment, as we work towards building confidence, healthy relationships and self-regulation.

Over the series, students will learn and experiment with fundamental yoga postures to develop and refine several important skills, including balance, flexibility, strength, body awareness, focus and mindfulness.

Suitable for all levels, each class will include a fun mix of co-operative games, acrobatics, discussions, relaxation and breath work.

🌞Basics of Sun Salutations Workshop🌞
Have you ever felt lost in a flow sequence? Unable to keep your breath paired with your movement or figure out how to land your foot forward from downward facing dog?
In this 1.5 hour workshop Bonnie Carl will offer you hands on guidance and support through each of the 7 asanas that make up a Sun Salutation, as well as the sequences and transitions most commonly used in classes.
We will discuss and practice each posture and the transitions within the sequences of Surya Namaskar, offering options to support you in feeling comfortable to flow during any class!
A brief review of the history and lineage of Sun Salutations/Surya Namaskar and it's benefits will also be
covered.

The breath…..
It’s my home base, the reset button, a remembering, connection, life force, the present moment.
One deep breath in and out can be a meditation itself.

Today is my last day as owner of Willow, and I have so many mixed emotions! I had thought this would feel like an early retirement, but actually I imagine it feels more like my child is getting married. Sending them off with someone else who you know is a perfect fit for them, but it's bittersweet, because it means change. I've told Angela I'll try and give her and the studio some space to enjoy the honeymoon period without me hovering, so you might not see me around much for a few months. :)
Angela and I have been meeting regularly over the past few months to transition the studio, and I feel so grateful that those invisible threads guiding us through life have led us to each other. I can't wait to see how Willow evolves under her leadership.
To all of the staff, clients and community members who have supported me over the past 10 years since the inception of Stephanie Reynolds Yoga, thank you. Thank you for your trust, inspiration, collaboration, and support. You hiked up those stairs to class at the Queen Alexandra Community Centre, back when I was renting the yoga room there. You supported me when I was pregnant, postpartum, grieving, sleep deprived and overrun. You let me hold your babies while I taught classes, and lead you and your babies on hiking adventures. You shared your most personal stories of pelvic floor dysfunction with me and trusted me to teach you all about Kegels. You cheered me on when the pandemic pulled the rug out from under us all. You accepted me as your leader, even when I had to make tough decisions about studio operations.
One of the most profound experiences I found as a yoga teacher was during the silence of savasana at the end of class. A roomful of humans have completely trusted you to hold space for them, while they let go and experience stillness. During this time, I would often move my attention around the room, to silently send each person my love.
Now, at the end of this journey of studio ownership, please know that I am one more time sending each and every member of our Willow Community my love, and a total appreciation for being a part of this journey with me.

This April, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves to save lives! We are proudly partnering with Canadian Blood Services to help fill an immediate need for blood. Canadian Blood Services is a not-for-profit charitable organization that operates independently from government.
Each 450 ml of blood collected can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. What a great way to pay it forward, and make an impact on people in our community and across the country. It’s also a wonderful way to practice yoga “off the mat” and practice Seva, or selfless service. We are very excited about the drive and we hope you are too!
To participate, go to blood.ca and book a date and time in April to give blood. You’ll need to set up an account (top right corner of website), in order to link your donation to our team. Once your online account is set up, you can join our team using the code THEW0114808. If you have any trouble with this – please reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll walk you through it! If you’d prefer not to make an online account, you can also contact Canadian Blood Services at 1-888-2-DONATE to book an appointment, and provide our code to link your donation to our team.

We recently welcomed back Sonja Martin to the Willow Studio to lead our Prenatal classes on Wednesday nights!
Sonja Martin brings an incredible depth of experience to our team as a 500-hour certified yoga and meditation teacher🧘♀️with significant additional training in fertility, pre and postnatal, pelvic floor and core, family, trauma, loss, restorative, yoga nidra and behvaioural therapy.
As a mother of three, surrogate of two, Sonja has been building her family and working in the field of family wellness for over 30 years.
Sonja is a wealth of information and a comforting support for the perinatal community in Peterborough – we are so lucky to have her!🩷
You may have seen Kim Hattey's friendly face volunteering around the studio since way back around when we opened. Kim has recently trained to become a Front Desk Ambassador, and we’re so lucky to have her incredible attention to detail, wisdom, and soulful depth officially on the team!
Kim has over 35 years of experience in the retail industry, including as a pharmacy technician and manager of a sub-post office.
She is deeply influenced by nature🌿and inspired by Indigenous culture, values and teachings. Kim loves to spend time with her 3 grandchildren, and has a love of water, kayaking, cycling and watercolour painting. She has practiced yoga for many years solo, but now more than ever, enjoys the community of a group yoga practice.
Please welcome the lovely Becca Eadie to our subbing team!
Becca (she/her) has had a dedicated yoga practice for over 10 years. After completing her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training, Becca also jumped on the opportunity to complete her Reiki Level 1 & 2 certifications.
Off the mat, Becca is a nurse practicing in the community, where she is able to encourage all things she loves: wellness, caring for others, mindful movement and spirituality through a balance of offering yoga classes, Reiki sessions, menstrual education workshops and nursing or nursing consolation.
Becca’s teaching style is a mix of anatomy, alignment and yoga philosophy while also leading intuitive, creative & empowering classes. Her aim is to encourage students to give back to themselves through self-care and compassion, while exploring energetic, emotional, and physical states of the body and mind through deeper awareness and knowing. 🩷

Jane Cook joined our regularly scheduled teaching staff back in November – join her for Bhakti Flow on Fridays at 5:15 pm, and occasionally Rest on Wednesdays at 8 pm.
Jane completed her 200 hr YTT with Vichara Yoga in 2014. Since then she has been teaching and hasn’t looked back! In addition to teaching yoga, Jane works as direct support professional, plays the French horn with the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra 🎼 and loves preparing awesome food to share with others.
We’re tweaking our Cancellation Policy to provide more flexibility and to keep valuable spots in classes from going unfilled when clients late cancel or don’t show up for their reservation.
We heard you – that 8-hour cancellation window is just too long. Lots of things can happen 8 hours before class to keep you from attending. So we've recently shortened this window to 3 hours. This means that if you cancel your class reservation, or remove yourself from the waitlist at least 3 hours before class, there won’t be any Late Cancel charges.
If you cancel your class LESS than 3 hours prior to class, it will count as a “Late Cancel”. Starting January 15th, EVERY Late Cancel will incur a $10 + HST charge, and EVERY No Show will incur a $20 + HST charge.
This also includes Late Cancels/No Shows if you did not remove yourself from a waitlist when you could no longer attend, and were added to the class. For those who use class passes, your pass will be forfeited if you No Show or Late Cancel, as it was in the past.
Please know that we understand that circumstances are typically out of your control when you Late Cancel – whether that is car trouble, illness, weather, or child care. We know you don’t intend to miss your class. We are sympathetic, because we’ve been there ourselves!
Unfortunately, even if your reason for Late Cancelling is valid, another client is losing out on that spot, which has financial implications for the studio. Our system for issuing late charges is semi-automated - staff are unable to make exceptions to this policy, and are unable to override charges due to Late Cancels or No Shows.
A reminder - if you are cancelling your spot, please do this through your online account. Emails or voicemails may not be received in time for us to offer that spot to someone else. When you cancel online, the system will automatically take someone off the waitlist and put them in that spot, saving us a step and giving that person more time to make arrangements to be there.

👉Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. This usually fixes the problem!
👉Are you using the same email address that you gave us to set up your account? Make sure this is a full email address, and not just a username.
👉Under your Profile on the app, click on “Contact Us” – that will take you to Mindbody Support and they can help diagnose the problem for you.
👉If all else fails, you can always book through the Classes page on our website (www.willowpeterborough.com/classes). There is also a link to access your Mindbody account on the top banner of our website (www.willowptbo.com). Just click on Mindbody.

Our pre-registered class model means that you pay upfront for a set of 7 weekly classes, allowing you to carve out time for self-care. Once you’ve scheduled it in, it's easier to honour that commitment and get to class each week. Have to miss a class? We offer up to two complimentary make ups.
We run six 7-week sessions throughout the year, with some break weeks in-between. You choose a class that fits your schedule and goals, and commit to that class each week for 7 weeks.
