Last week, an resident received the VIP treatment during a visit to Support Office!✨ Marie Mank, known for knitting hundreds of poppies for The Royal Canadian Legion was invited to Toronto to celebrate all her work.

After she and a few friends hopped in a limo, she cut the ribbon for the official ‘Marie Mank’ meeting room, and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the beautifully decorated space. ✂️🎀

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Richard Denney, well known as Roller Rickie, a long-time and beloved resident who recently passed.

Rickie made a significant impact on the community as a symbol of pride. Leading the Toronto Pride Parade in the 80’s, he has inspired people for decades to embrace their true selves. He will be missed dearly.❤️

Last Saturday, we embraced the rain for an important cause!🚶‍♀️ Amica residences in Ontario and B.C. participated in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s to help send messages of hope to people living with dementia. Our team members brought their families (including furry friends!) and walked with purpose.

This cause is close to our hearts, as we continually work toward our mission to help seniors thrive and age with optimism. Many of our team members have personal stories and connections to the cause as well, making it an emotional day for everyone.

In Pedal Around the Clock, the challenge was to have a bike in the fitness centre consistently ridden from 9am–5pm — seniors all worked together, with each riding for about 15 minutes. Their hearts were really in it!❤️
