Cannabis affects the animal body differently than humans. In fact, ingesting cannabis can be dangerous for pets and could result in a medical crisis. If you think your pet ingested cannabis, take them to your veterinarian right away and tell them what happened - symptoms are varied and omitting this information can make managing your pet’s case difficult. Symptoms of Lyme disease can appear anywhere between three days to one month after being bitten by an infected tick and can include:

- A red, "bulls-eye" type rash and fever.
- Muscle pain, swelling of joints or lameness.
- Low energy and loss of appetite.
- Difficulty breathing.
