Repost from
This one is for animal owners who are already a client themselves* at County Chiropractic! We are having a friends and family week from July 6th to the 13th! There are only a few spots left, so if you have a family member or friend in mind (humans only this time), send them our way for a complimentary initial consultation (valued at $90).
*If you aren’t a client yet, but know of someone who is already apart of our practice, ask them to refer you!*
Thanks for helping us spread the wealth of wellness. 💪❤️
Starline Equine Bodywork podcasts are worth a listen for both bodyworkers and equine owners. This episode in particular shares how effective chiropractic care can be in conjunction with other types of equine body work.
“Hilton's law states: Articular nerves supplying a joint are branches of the nerves that supply the muscles responsible for moving that joint. Hence irritation of articular nerves causes a reflex spasm of the muscles which position the joint for the greatest comfort. These nerves also supply the overlying skin, providing a mechanism for referred pain from joint to skin.” (Physio-pedia.com)
This means that massage CANNOT solve muscle tension until underlying joint dysfunction is resolved. Chiropractic care is important for resolving muscle tension.
As a soft tissue practitioner myself, I often refer to and recommend chiropractic care for chronic muscle tension. And, it’s been a very successful way of providing best outcomes for client horses through this collaborative care.
Knowing what type of bodywork to use (when and why) is the key to best outcomes for the horses.

Pictured are two different family members that we can care for at County Chiropractic! Whether it's a wellness visit, posture check or tending to discomfort and concerns, we are here for your whole family. All ages and stages are welcome and your pets too! Our Picton practice hosts . ❤️
One of the many parts I love about my job is the unique breeds I come across. Sphynx cats are a very friendly and family-oriented breed. They were so fun to be around, and I couldn’t get enough of their facial expressions 😂.
My initial visit was to assess movement and mobility of the pelvis and lower extremities, as the owner was concerned about a mobility issue in the hind-end. As with any animal, healthy mobility plays a big role in quality of life. Chiropractic care can help improve and maintain healthy movement, as well as determined whether additional follow-through is required (i.e. veterinary care, physio, massage, etc).
Thank you for trusting me with your boys!

February and March have been a whirlwind for myself and my family! Here’s a little recap in what I’ve been up to. 💫
1. On January 30th, 2024 we welcomed our little girl into our lives. Miss. Daphne Anne, affectionately known as Daphodil 🌼 or Daffy, has brightened up our lives like no other. She is turning into a spunky little girl with a lot of personality!
2 & 3. I have been embracing the postpartum journey with Daphne and all the changes that have come with it. A beautiful, yet daunting journey. It definitely takes a village, and we have been blessed with strong support from our family, friends, and community.
4 & 5. Right from the start it was very important to my husband and I to foster a relationship between our pups and Daphne. A month into the new routine and we’re all settled and integrated as one.
6. Our big girl turned 3 on March 27th 🥰.
7. I have been slowly entering back into the workforce. It’s hard to stay away from something you love doing! It has been a pleasure seeing old faces again. 🐾
Stay tuned for more to come in the upcoming months!

A long overdue announcement of my rebranding constructed by the talented . This was a gift to myself after a successful first year in running Morrice Animal Chiropractic. As we approach the completion of year 2 in a couple of months, I wanted to highlight why this rebranding meant so much to me and continues to do so.
The goal I had with my rebranding was to incorporate the love I have for the art world with the passion I have for chiropractic care and animals. My draw to the arts was fostered from as early as I can remember. My grandmother owned an art gallery in Toronto and I spent a good chunk of my childhood and adolescence immersed in that community. This is what drew me to Chris . Chris captured everything I had hoped for with the new logo and design for my business. She gave me the ability to express myself artistically, while still capturing the essence of my business. It was also important to me to work with someone local to the area that I serve. ✅
I hope you enjoy this piece of art as much as I do.

Some of you may have already caught on, or may have been pondering but not wanting to say anything 🤭, we are expecting a little baby Morrice! The next time you’re at County Chiropractic Centre with your fur baby take a chance at guessing what my little one will be! Here’s a hint, it’s not another puppy or horse! I swear!
I will continue seeing clients until late January. We will come up with individualized plans to keep your beloved animals well taken care of while I am off. Any animal owners that come to County Chiropractic for their own care will be taken care of by the clinic owner, Dr. Heather.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out, or we can chat at your next appointment.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday season, and Happy New Years to you all 💫 ❤️

Our show dates for 2024 are out! A reminder that we do have two days of showing one hunter day one jumper day unless we don’t have enough entries to run both days. Can’t wait to see everyone again next year. We have some new and exciting classes.
What You Need to Know About Your Horse’s Hunter’s Bump Two veterinarians explain why horses develop hunter’s bumps and how to treat them.
Love the support 👏
We all love animals. And more than half of Ontarians have a pet in the family. As our furry family members age, they can experience spine, muscle, and joint pain, just like us.
-----
Did you know that chiropractors can also treat animals?
-----
Animal chiropractors specialize in providing a safe and effective hands-on approach to many spine, muscle or joint issues and injuries in pets and large animals - including horses, dogs and cats. For example, animal chiropractors work with competitive animals who are training for agility, flyball, frisbee, or in working roles, such as herding, field trials or tracking.
Animal chiropractic doesn’t replace traditional veterinary medicine or surgery but provides an integrative method of care. Often, veterinarians and animal chiropractors work together to best serve the needs of your pet or a larger animal.

Mayrose Farm is offering a really fun opportunity for kids this summer in Prince Edward County ! A week spent with an amazing miniature horse crew, and two really great individuals, Patti and Eva. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Patti and Eva while helping the herd get ready for summer camp and show season.
The summer camp program being offered is a unique and fun way for children and pre-teens to spend their day! And I can assure you there is never a dull moment with the mini crew 😊
Please contact Patti at 6139195154 or Eva at 6139200227 to sign up or for more information. Please share if you think you know of someone who would enjoy this opportunity!

An important message to get across when hiring someone to work on your animal.
Not animal related but a small fun-fact about me, I love to curl! 🥌 Even my pup enjoys watching it on tv 😂.
I recently started learning the sport, and this past weekend I took part in my first curling bonspiel hosted at the Peterborough Curling Club. It was so much fun!
As warmer weather approaches what winter activities are you going to miss? ❄️ Although I’ll miss curling, I’m excited to get the gardens going, and sitting by the camp fire again. 🌸☀️
WOW! What a haul! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the photos with Santa Claus event, and to those who booked in on our half price days!! Your generosity will go a long way for the fur babies🐱 at Loyalist Humane Society .
A huge thank you goes out to for the efforts put into hosting these events. Everyone had a ton of fun while showing support for LHS. What a great way to start the new year!⭐️

Cozy room setting ✅
Spinal adjustments ✅
Cold laser therapy ✅
Yummy treats ✅
Listening to cat cues to know when you’re allowed to pet them 😉 ✅
This handsome fella was diagnosed with early-onset arthritis in the spine. His owner initially brought him to the vet because he had stopped jumping, was refusing playtime with the other cats, and was becoming vocal about his discomfort. In addition to the care plan provided by the vet, we came up with a plan to help improve his mobility.
After a few treatment sessions of both spinal and extremity adjustments, and cold laser therapy his owner reported a noticeable difference in his abilities at home. He was jumping more and using his ramps less, and he started engaging in play. He still is vocal about his discomfort, but that is a great way for his owner to know when he needs a break.
