Hi Folks!
Angela here. As you may have noticed. I've been away from the store for about a week. Cooper and I have both been pretty sick. We are definitely turning the corner and starting to feel better BUT now I also have LARYNGITIS (yes, Kevin is thrilled by this turn of events 🤣). Needless to say, I'm not answering the phone right now so call him if you're trying to reach us as my response will be squeaky at best.

Just a heads up. The grill is closed for the rest of the the day. We are out of everything. We will keep you posted when our deliveries start to roll in and we are back up and running.

Effective immediately, our hours have changed.

Thanks for another fantastic season! We appreciate how you keep showing up for us again and again!

We loved seeing seasonal customers show up in the Spring as they returned to their trailers or cottages and we got a chance to chat about what they got up to over the winter. We loved seeing brand new customers who were experiencing our beautiful area for the first time. We loved seeing the once a year customers who were headed to the beach but stopped in to say hello because we had connected on some level last year when they stopped to buy a burger or beach towels. We loved seeing other local business owners and hearing about their exciting endeavours, while simultaneously commiserating over the utter exhaustion that goes hand in hand with the excitement. We loved seeing friends who dont live in the area but made the trip to see us because we don't often have time to visit in the Summer. We loved seeing old friends we hadn't seen in decades who popped out and took us by surprise. We loved seeing our friends and neighbours who we have the privilege of seeing year round; their familiar faces brought a certain sense of relief when things were so busy. And, we loved seeing you! Every. Single. One. Of. You. Thank you! You're amazing!

Now that September is here and school is starting, we are going to dial back our hours a bit.

Effective immediately, our hours will be:
STORE:
Sunday-Thursday: 8am-7pm
Friday & Saturday: 8am-8pm

GRILL
Sunday - Thursday: 11am-7pm
Friday & Saturday: 11am - 8pm
(Last call for grill orders is 15 minutes before closing time).

I'm so glad it's 6° cooler than yesterday

We are looking for one more person to complete our Summer of '24 staff roster.

No experience necessary. This is an excellent opportunity for a first job for a teenager or, for a seasonal cottager who wants a job over the Summer.

We have students who are returning this year for their second and third years with us.

How are you dealing with this heat?

My best strategy is no cooking. We eat sandwiches for dinner and potato chips are our main source of vegetables in the heat. We have also resorted to ice cream for dinner when it's just so hot that even chewing is too much of an effort.

Failing all of that, we order dinner. Speaking of which, our grill is open until 7 on weekdays and until 8 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Don't forget to order a pail of our freshly squeezed lemonade to wash it all down. After all, you need to stay hydrated.

Today (Thursday, June 6th) is a busy and exciting day (more details on the excitement a little later) so we will be a little late opening the grill.

Grill will be open from 1-7
Store will be open as usual from 8am-7pm

Some of you have been waiting a very long time for this exciting day so I know you'll be thrilled to hear that Fry Pies are back!

Get them while you can. These things sell like...Fry Pies (I was going to say hot cakes but I feel like Fry Pies sell faster than hot cakes because they are so delicious!).

And, great news! We will be getting fresh orders every single Thursday all Summer long!
