Even though Gus has a complicated relationship with bees, he does like our locally made beehives as they house our best pollinators, Mason & Cutter Bees...and they don't sting! He wants you to know that we have local stories, candles smelling of tides & flowers, creative burls, boards for gatherings, nautical magic, jewelry with strength, raku with style, rocks that are going places, handwoven threads, the most beautiful bubbles, kooky owls & fierce fish...join us for a browse!

Of all the wonderful treasures in the shop...Gus certainly takes top spot; however, these flowers are the most beautiful and softly fragrant...come get them while they last!

Gus wants everyone to know that even though he gets his dirty toes all over the patio pillows, they always come out of the wash sparkling and clean! Patio pillows....Gus endorsed!

Gus says that summer is all about hanging with your beasties and going to the beach....It is also the time to support local. Local artists, artisans, authors, craftsmen/women, stories & places. There is so much talent in this town!! I am honoured that Ports & Passes is filled to the brim with the richness of our local culture., & Gus of course!

Gus wants to remind everyone that it is bee season!! He was today years old when he found out that they don't want to play. His poor snout is so swollen! Instead of chasing bees, join us at the shop ...so many treasures to be found!

It seems that summer is finally here! For Gus this means swimming & frolicking with his bestie. The shop had an incredible visitor today...so glad there are flowers to feast on!

Gus wants to remind you that Mother's Day is just around the corner. In Gus' mind there is nothing better than his mom...well, except for perhaps: stinky things on the beach, rabbits, birds & the dog park....but I digress. There are so many wonderful things in store for mom...spoil her, love her up, treat her! Gus will cuddle me endlessly, and that is just right!

Gus loves spring! It is especially exciting as this is his first one...he loves the birds & the bees & the flowers & the trees. So many beautiful things to see outside, so many beautiful things inside the shop...spring colours are here. There are new throw rugs & blankets, go cups & home cups, snails & fishes, flower pots & fish pots, boats & floats! Come on in and day hi to smiley dog!

Gus is enjoying the sun and ready to greet you! He wants you to know that there are always new treasures to find in the Ports & Passes Shop!

Gus feels that he fits right in with all the beautiful things at the shop...and indeed he does; in fact if we are to believe all those that cross his path, he is the most handsome & sweetest boy! He wants to let you all know that we finally have our laminated Inside Passage Maps North & South! At 5ft/2ft they are amazing for wall decor :)

The view from my lap is the most perfect view of all! Gus loves his lazy mornings cuddling.
We wanted to let you all know that we are opening on SUNDAYS starting this Sunday, March 24th! 11am - 4pm. Visit us when you are picking up your Sunday bacon from Meat Craft Qualicum Butchery or after you have had drinks & yummies at Fern + Cedar Brewing. The East Village is the place to be!
We have something for everyone ~ and even if you need nothing, you probably need a kiss from Gus!

Gus was a little grouchy with me after my last post...he reminded me that it's not only jewelry that your person wants for Valentine's Day and that there are incredible things for all at the shop.
He pointed out that he would like a teddy bear stuffy with a squeaker, dinner on the patio at Fern + Cedar Brewing & some fresh stewing beef from Meat Craft Qualicum Butchery...certainly NOT jewelry.

Gus had a wonderful snow morning and then to the shop and cozy! He wants to remind all of those that get distracted...a squeaky octopus is all it takes...that Valentine's Day is shortly upon us. Reminding those we love that we love them is close to Gus' kissy face & soft heart.
