Although The Blue Jay Bistro isn't currently in operation, you may have heard of the Gordo Burger Fund.
The Gordo Burger Fund raises money to help support programs that benefit animals/agriculture, and kids!
During the bistro's short time open, we were able to make donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Quesnel, North Cariboo Gymkhana Society, Bouchie Lake Gymkhana Society, Terry Fox Run, little league baseball teams, and so much more!
We will be continuing the Gordo Burger Fund as a way to continue supporting these causes.
So...here's our first online fundraiser!

Don't live in Quesnel? This fundraiser is still for you, as we will mail your winnings to you!
Purchase a number, or numbers, by messaging us with your picks!
Numbers available are 1-200.
$5 each.

Here's what we were working on this summer!
Tanner Gordon Schmidt joined the Blue Jay family in the evening of September 6th.

Hello everyone!
With the rodeo coming up soon, we wanted to remind everyone that we are NOT operating this summer, so the lower concession is not us.
We still encourage you to support the rodeo and the food vendors that will be working their butts off that weekend!

We are very sad to announce that The Blue Jay Bistro will not be operating this summer 😔
This isn't goodbye...just a see you later!

Due to unforeseen circumstances...we are closed until further notice.

We have some sad news folks...something has come up, that has made us unable to open this weekend.
We hope you will still come to the park and take in some of High School Rodeo!

It's another weekend of High School Rodeo coming up!
No phone orders again, but everyone is welcome to come down to the park!
We will have burgers, hot dogs, smokies, pulled pork, a large variety of drinks, candy, and other snacks.
We will be open at 12pm on Saturday, and 11am on Sunday & Monday, staying open as long as people are hanging around!
Will post when we have a better idea of when we will close each day.

Tonight we treated a little league ball team to hot dogs, juice, and some snacks after their practice 🥰

We would like you to meet 5 year old
Easton Russell!
As you may know, we are very passionate about supporting youth programs, and encouraging youth to be active!
This summer, if you put your empty bottles in our blue bins (located by our pick up window), the bottles are being donated to Easton to go towards his fundraising for this summer's motocross season!
He is a member of the MX North 54 Motocross Program, which is where the funds will be used.

Gordo Burgers are on the menu today!
Do you know the story behind the Gordo Burger?
Gord is our dad, the Bistro is named after a business he had, and the Gordo Burger is named after him 😜
We use this delicious prime rib burger to raise funds to support youth programs.
We've chosen 2 little league baseball teams that will be receiving some goodie bags, and hot dogs after their practice courtesy of the Gordo Burger Fund!
All you have to do to support our initiatives, is enjoy a burger!

One more day left of High School Rodeo!
We'll be open tomorrow from 11am-3:30pm, or while supplies last....
You are welcome to come down and grab a burger, and take in some of the rodeo! (Free admission!).

Our first event of the season is this weekend!
High School Rodeo events will be in the outdoor arena at Alex Fraser Park Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday during the day.
We will be open with a special event menu.
Due to the way we are operating this summer (please see earlier post), we are unable to take phone orders, but you are more than welcome to come and see us for some snacks!
The Gordo burger will be on the menu!
We'll have delicious burgers, hot dogs, Caesar wraps, home made chili, pulled pork sandwiches, and a fully stocked concession with chips, candy, popcorn, and non alcoholic beverages.
No fries this weekend, sorry!
Debit will be available.
If you come to the park, please understand that there will be an active event going on with livestock.

Some big changes are happening at The Bistro this summer...
You may notice some "growth"... 😜
We are expecting a baby boy this fall! 🤠
Don't worry...you can still get a Gordo burger!
However...we are planning on only being open when there are events in the park, and we will have a different menu.
This means no delivery or phone in option, BUT, we are located outside the admission gates for events, so you are welcome to come grab a burger even if you aren't attending the event happening 😉.
We are currently shooting to be open at the beginning of May for the first round of High School Rodeo.
