We are so damn proud of this girl for doing trying her best to sticking with her commitment, dealing with crappy weather, tolerating a mouthguard, and celebrating with her teammates when they made little wins.
To you this might not sound like much, but for an AudDHDāer, this can be downright torture to follow-through with, even if itās something she loves and excels at.
We love you our fierce little rusher!
Happy Fatherās Day to the man of the house. It canāt be easy living with the three of us, but we are so incredibly lucky to call him dad! We love you Leigh!

Why does Team Coldest Noses & Toeses Walk?
By raising funds for My Auntās Place, a women's and childrenās emergency centre in Regina, our hope is to put a spotlight on our cityās most vulnerable, those that are hurting, hungry and homeless. We believe that by participating as a family our kids understand that itās important to give back to the community and contribute however they can, regardless of their age. Itās our responsibility as a community to help one another, and we are in a position to make a difference. The Coldest Noses & Toeses will be walking on February 24th! We hope to see you there too.
You can support them here: https://cnoy.org/location/regina
or register your own team and tell us why YOUāRE walking!
The Dunnās are back at it, raising funds and collecting feminine hygiene items for the Coldest Night Of The Year. If you can help out, reach out or check the link in our bio to donate to our team.
My Auntās Place is an emergency shelter for women and children. They accommodate 32 individuals on a nightly basis. The latest 2021 count noted that 43% of homeless in our community are women and 26% are identified as youth. Please give if you can.
Ever feel lighter once you declutter? ME TOO!
When I walk into a cluttered room, I physically feel the weight of it all. For some that have been under this weight for a long time, they may not remember what it feels like to be freed of the burden.
Itās a shift. An energy release. It can be very emotional and uplifting once you clear a space. Thatās where I come in. Reach out if you are stuck and canāt get the momentum going. You deserve to feel the freedom of owning less stuff.
February Love rates of $40/hour. Reach out for dates in February.
Weāre all anxiously awaiting the announcement this morningā¦ will rates hold or drop?
I donāt have a crystal ball but my forecast is that we wonāt see any relief until mid/year. What does that mean for our Regina real estate market?

The visuals are powerful! When you take a moment to see everything you own, you would be incredibly overwhelmed. Laying it out is key. And people donāt believe me when I say the average house holds over 300,000 items! š¤Æš¤Æš¤Æ
Toy rotations work wonders for kiddos and parents who arenāt quite ready to part with their things.
š§øItās great for practice and monitoring behavioral play patterns to see what your kiddo really values and has interest in. Practicing how to let go needs to be taught and modelled. So does gratitude.
š§ø Itās great for pairing down large collections like stuffies, Lego sets, dinos, dolls, video games, etc.
š§øFill a tub with toys and stick away. Reintroduce them on a rotation (I used to do it monthly). This will either spark a lot of excitement when seeing the toys again or a lack-luster response that will make it easier to sell or donate.
š§øThe ānewnessā of an old toy will most likely save you a tonne of money and provide space that the playroom desperately needs.
š§ø Itās also great for books, clothes, Lego sets, craft supplies.
š§ø Having a decluttered play room makes it easier for your kids to manage and take care of their things, provides room for creativity, and reduces everyoneās stress.
What we noticed:
šwe had so much stuff that they didnāt even remember what was in the box
šthe rotations and more practice, the better the girls got at letting things go
Have you tried this trick? Reach out if the playroom is giving you serious grief!
You got this! Be strong out there.
This is the number one question I get:
How do I help a loved one with their clutter?
The first thing you can do is work with them to find their own blockage or root as to why itās piling up in the first place. The tricky thing is, they might know what it is either until they sit with the uncomfortableness of it all.
Secondly, you might not be the one that helps with the break through. Some people need professional help like a therapist or a declutter expert.
Lastly, another tip to help your loved one envision the benefits of what life could be like if it werenāt for all the stuff. Not an easy feat. But itās a good starting point.
Clutter is often a symptom of something bigger. You need to handle it with empathy and compassion.
Which blocks are impacting your family right now?
Here me out. The last thing you probably want to do is freeze your butt off while moving in the middle of winter, but Iāve had my eye on the White City market for some time nowā¦ and itās a great time to pounce!
Why?
š” there are quite a few homes listed right now in the White City/Emerald Park Area, many under the $750K mark
šµ the current inventory out her has been sitting which means they may be more open to negotiate
šļø you have less competition as most buyers purchase around the school calendar year out here (spring/summer)
šRegina is well over the 10 year average in sales and new inventory canāt keep up with the demand - which means there are very few listings in the $500-600 range, so you can take advantage
š°Even if interest rates do drop in spring, you still may be further ahead purchasing a home under list price than overpaying and competing in spring
So hereās a solid chance for you to find your dream home with a big yard for your littles to roam, affordable taxes with their incentive programs, and your roads plowed every snowfall!!!
Connect with Jessica if you are interested in what White City and Emerald Park has to offer.

Four Playroom Tips I Wish I Knew When My Kids Were Young ā At Home With Jess Playroom struggles are real because the average ten year old has over 238 toys to handle! It can be overwhelming, stressful, and frustrating for both parent and child. Here are some great tips to become more minimalistic with the kid's stuff so it's manageable for everyone in the house.
I get this question all the timeā¦ āHow do I help my loved one get through their clutter?ā
Let me tell you one thingā¦ NEVER TOUCH SOMEONEāS THINGS WITHOUT PERMISSION! You will instantly break trust and bring the process to a grinding halt!
But if you have been asked, here are some great tips to approach it.
If you struggle keeping your cool, become frustrated or impatient, especially if itās during a move when time is of the essence- it may be best to bring in the big guns!
Did you know that offer decluttering and minimalism services for our clients? š¤Æš¤Æš¤Æ

Well that was a whirlwind!
Here are a few tips to simplify the Halloween aftermath so you can reduce waste, save money, and streamline next yearās chaos!
1. CANDY COUNT! I always forget how many trick-or-treaters we get the year before so I made a Halloween 2024 Note in my phone to put all sorts of things in like how much candy to grab! This will prevent overbuy for next year.
2. COSTUMES, BOOKS, DECOR. Make a plan for the above. Usually my kids like to play year-around in their costumes, so I store them in the play room to get more use out of them. If you are donating - get them out of the house IMMEDIATELY! If you plan to sell, create an alert in your phone for Sept 15th, 2024 to maximize the amount of money youāll make on Varage Sale or Market Place.
3. DONATE YOUR š
There are often farms that will gladly accept your pumpkins for feed and compost after Halloween.
CANDY WRAPPER MAYHEM. The garbage that comes with Halloween is astonishing. But did you know that The Alternative will recycle them for you! What!!!! Check them out!
Iām always looking for simple, efficient ways to keep Halloween as low-key as possible. What are your ideas? Send them in the comments.

Downsizing is a terrifying transition for most seniors but it doesnāt have to be if you approach it with compassion and empathy.
Sometimes the thought of moving is too much to handle and the conversation just stops in a fight or flight response. Try doing little steps before to help ease the move.
šļø Decluttering a house that someone has lived in for 30+ years can take a full year. Take small steps, lots of breaks, and let your loved one make the decisions. Your job is to do the heavy lifting, keep on them on task, sort, and edit.
š§ŗStaying independent could be a safety issue, so do a walk-through of the home and discuss what can be done to retrofit the layout so they can safely be mobile. Helping them keep up the house is also crucial so they donāt start to lose equity in their property.
š Do the research of what options are out there, what the costs will be, and what timelines are like to take off the brunt of the load.
šļø Automate as much as possible like bills, cleaning, driving service, outdoor snow removal, etc.
šCreating a plan that isnāt rushed can put your loved on at ease so when the time comes (whether they are ready or not) they will feel confident in what is happening with their belongings and home.
For more tips on downsizing, take a look at my blog in the link in my bio.
I did an informal workshop this past summer for a group of pharmacy professionals. I told them the story about how I started living with less and the bomb of benefits that came from it. Showing them real life struggles, identifying patterns, and the holistic benefits that impacted my mental, physical, and financial health were the key take-aways.

BOY MATH - GIRL MATH
Men and women react to clutter differently.
Women tend to feel the heavy load of stress because clutter triggers their cortisol levels to spike. Whyā¦ probably because we are usually the ones tackling it on a daily basis and feel out of control when our environment is a mess.
Even though seeing clutter pile up around them, men donāt seem to be as bothered by it until they notice how much BETTER it feels when itās gone.
Motivating men to help with getting rid clutter also seems different. Hence this little chart I madeā¦ see many wonāt take me seriously about how clutter impacts their family until I equate it with dollar signs.
Not shown on here:
šµthe amount of money that could be made selling things not being used
šµthe amount of hours it takes to clean and take care of all the items
šµhow their lifestyle could drastically change if they become aware of why they are impulse buying
So ladies, show this to the men in your life when you tell them that living with less could be worth thousands!
In my on-line classes, podcasts, and guest speaker appearances, I touch on the different types of clutter that impact your finances, your mental load, the environment, and your community. Clutter effects how you work, how you parent, how you show up in your relationship, and is really a symptom of something much deeper.
Often your clutter can be grouped into many of these categories but pinning down what your struggling with the most can help you slowly work through whatās really going on.
