Over the past few weeks our location has been collecting clothing, blankets, and other items for the youth at TUHK SIH NOWIN Youth Shelter. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community and our staff, we were able to deliver an entire van of items to them today. A huge thank you to all those that took time to drop off items, to our staff members for organizing and sorting items, and who delivered the items to the shelter.

Due to an incredible amount of community support and donations, we will be ending our clothing drive early. We will be collecting donations until Friday, December 8, and will donate the items the following Monday. If you have items you wish to donate please feel free to drop them off at our location, 2080 Victoria Avenue East.
Please consider reaching out to one of our community shelters in the future to donate items they may be in need of. Thank you to all of those who have donated to support our communities youth.

Victoria Avenue Funeral Home is hosting a Clothing Donation from November 13, 2023 until December 15, 2023. We are collecting winter clothing; warm sweaters, jackets, socks, gloves, scarves, toques, boots, blankets, backpacks, sweat pants etc, personal hygiene products; toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, ladies feminine products. All clothing sizes to fit teenage boys and girls ages 15- 18. Donations will be taken to the TUHK SIH NOWIN Youth Shelter here in Regina. We appreciate your generosity.

Our offices will be closed on November 10, 2023 in honour of Remembrance Day.
We take time to pause and reflect on the sacrifices the men and women made for our country and continue to make. Lest we forget.

Today we take the time to honour and remember our Indigenous Veterans. We remember you and the sacrifices you made for our freedom.

Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition most commonly celebrated on November 1 and 2, it is a lively and brilliant celebration welcoming back those who have passed. Pathways of yellow Marigolds line the way for the spirits to return to their families to visit. They are welcomed home with their favourite food, photos, sugar skulls, candies, and toys, candles light their way and families eagerly await their return. It is a blend of Catholic tradition and Mexican mysticism. It is a beautiful tradition that goes back to the 1500s and blends in to many other cultures rituals and beliefs.
