Yesterday was my birthday! So what have I learned? Not much apparently…I put on a pair of rollerblades and my little guy pulled me to him. Instead of injuring him, I chose to fall backwards. There was couple of days of severe pain. That is lousy, right? Actually no! Apparently the fall adjusted my hip to perfection! A hip that had been giving me trouble and keeping me up at night for a few years. My foot on the other side had been causing me to limp too. Now it is fine!

That is life, right? No such thing as an accident. I was given my birthday gift early. Here’s the lesson: the glass is always half full. Today I look at the flowers my two youngest kids got me and think my glass is full indeed. The cheapest chiro adjustment ever and flowers. What could be better?

Nice little Spice of Life Corelle kitchen set! Get ready for fall with these casseroles, saucepan and teapot. An absolute staple of the 70s kitchen. I can just imagine these when they went to family suppers or neighbours houses carrying warm food and good cheer! Set for $40

Got a pretty good collection of Cornflower Corelle bakeware and stovetop items for fans! In the 70s this was the only proper way to bring a casserole for a party or new neighbour. It has the practicality of bakeware and storage of leftovers in the fridge. Lots of sizes for every kitchen use! Prices range from $10 to $20.

Six years ago I posted this. Now more than ever I understand when people get emotional in my booth. They see part of their history and a reminder of the most important people in their life!

An amazing part of running a vintage business is that I help people reclaim memories. I saw this on an auction site and immediately knew my mother would want them. My Nana, her mother, was an incredible person. Mother of 15, a true lady, a wonderful cook, and a talented organist and pianist. Brass candle sticks like these were always on top of her organ in her living room. They were inherited by another member of the family. To most people this is just an object. To us it goes straight to the heart, reminds us of a beautiful person who we miss so much. It also reminds me of times when she played music for her grandchildren. So even though I paid a trifle to win these, to us they are priceless!

Looking for some fun games to play while camping or at the cabin. These Canadian made games are intact and in great condition! Made in 1971 (the year of my birth!), they each contain 3 different games to play with thick and colourfully designed playing boards. Contains all original pieces! $60 each or the two for $100.

Teal Fred Roberts San Francisco canister set, made in Japan. This set has an awesome oval mid century shape. The Fred Roberts Company was a well known export company between Japan and USA. The most famous and iconic designs in vintage wares came from this company. The wheat is an excellent symbol for Saskatchewan. There is sone wear and chips to the original lacquerware. $40

Welcome to our Under the Sea Thrift! Enter a beautiful ocean environment in a hidden part of our store. There will even be a 12 foot tall jellyfish! Our vendors will be restocking our private thrift area with fresh vintage & antique goods. We usually put out around 700 items! Lots of clothes, homewares, toys, dishes, decor, music, and seasonal items. Most items are between $1 and $25 with bigger prices for large items like furniture. Look carefully through as some of these items have nautical stickers on them, which means they are free to you. One vendor puts out Mystery Bags for $5, $10, & $15 full of vintage items worth much more!

Also browse both floors of our main Market space of 10,000 square feet to find special tokens for $1 off of thrift items. With many vendors comes wonderful variety of goods, great one on one customer service with a focus on vintage items from the last 100 years and sone awesome antiques as well! Usually these floors are open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Vendors will run sales during the event. If you haven’t visited our Market store yet, be prepared to feast your eyes on thousands of curated items! If you have shopped here before expect the usual, we redecorate and add fresh items to our booths daily!
