Brooklyn has worked at Tangles previously but with her recent move back into the city, SHE’S BACK!🥳 Her bubbly and out-going personality makes her a joy to be around!💫

Blondes & extensions are her jam!!💁‍♀️ Brooklyn is also a curly hair specialist (deva curl certified).👩‍🦱 She recently took the laser course so soon you will be able to book your laser treatments with her!⚡️

Destinee Peter, the sole owner and operator of Tangles Hair & Beauty Salon since 2013 at just 22 years old, is our newest Indigenous Youth Council Member.

Destinee has won numerous accolades, including two National Young Entrepreneur awards and one International Hairstylist of the Year award. She has served on NACCA's National Indigenous Youth Business Advisory Council, facilitated Matchsticks Indigenous Business Women Mentor Circles, and mentors Start-Up Women across Canada.

Over the past 10 years, Destinee has expanded her salon and team exponentially, rebranding Tangles Salon to be more modern and incorporate aspects of Indigenous culture. An important lesson she has learned is to never forget where you came from and who helped you along the way.

As a council member, Destinee will provide invaluable guidance to support other Indigenous youth, drawing from her entrepreneurial journey and commitment to being a positive role model.
