I am so excited and grateful to announce the launch of my first children's book called Grace Learns Gratitude. It was a labour of love about one of my favourite topics. I've launched a new page for the book called.... you guessed it.....Grace Learns Gratitude. You'll find more pictures there. My plan is to donate copies to primary schools and sell enough to reprint and donate more. If you know of a child aged 3 to 7, this will be a great book to introduce the practice of gratitude. Here is the reading for the week of July 28 to August 3. I am going to just tell you the story that popped into my head when I read this. Your wishes have finally been granted and you have achieved the windfall you have been praying for. You made some not so great choices along the way and listened to people who did not have your best interests at heart. BUT you learned your best lesson that your chosen family is the greatest gift. The people you can trust are the greatest blessing. Let's be grateful for them this week.

Here is the energy for the week of July 21 to 27. I just get the feeling if we can get a handle on the first two cards ( the 2 cards), then we will be able to move to the 3 card. What happens when we work too much or fool ourselves into thinking that our work is our play (the 2 of earth), we start feeling like the 2 of air and our defenses go up and we can get caught in a loop. Aim for balance this week by prioritizing what really needs to be done (housework always goes to the bottom of the list for me, lol). If you can get a handle on the busyness of life and the busyness of the brain, you will change your energy and attract the 3 of fire. Have a great week.

Here is the energy for the week of July 14 to 20. If I had to synopsize the feeling it would be all about close relationships. We are going to be all in our feelings this week, feeling love, feeling gratitude and feeling empathy. Don't fight the feelings. Positive emotions can often be just as stressful as negative emotions. Feel them, and let them move on. You will learn something from it. And of course, for those of you who know me, there is always something to be grateful for. Have a great week.

Here is the energy for the week of July 7 to 13. Now there is always a question in my head as I shuffle the cards and the answer for me is on point. Just a suggestion when you review the cards for yourself. Lose the literal lens when reading. Example, the word career usually means a job or your income, but sometimes we have habits we have made careers of, like worrying or dieting. This can personalize a reading for you. If a thought pops into your head while you look at the cards, or if a sentence really stands out, it's meant for you. We start with the Queen of Fire. This chick knows her sh**. She's us about a decade ahead in knowledge and she's shaking her head at what we are obsessing about now. She knows you've got this. Now we have two major arcana cards coming in to press a point home that perhaps we have not been listening to. The lovers card this week is triggering the word obsession for me. Sorry, but are you worried about being too much or too little of something. This is an illness you can recover from. Self-love comes first. The Sun, oh I love the sun and all it's promises. Here is the reading for the week of June 30 to July 6. Be strong, but be nice. Sit on your success for a while to decide what's next. Look back to see the journey but don't romanticize it. Take time to be a kid.

Here is the energy for the week of June 23 to 29. The 3 of fire jumped up out of the deck and it's a great place to start. This whole reading feels like we're being told to sit down and take the time to realistically make plans for something good to happen. Sometimes we work so hard at something because we love it and never quite reach the potential we dreamt of. This week we may hit that potential but it is just as important to be prepared for success as it is to be prepared for failure. We've all heard about people who blew through lottery wins because they didn't have a plan. Visualize your success and plan for it.

Here is the energy for the week of June 16 to 22. I just absolutely love when the cards come out with a story. It's Father's Day today and here is the story of a relationship. So Cute! We start with the 2 of water, ooooh Cupid. That's how fathers are made, lol. And of course there are usually gifts on Father's Day. Then we have the King and Queen of Fire (you need a bit of that to become a father, wink, wink). The King and Queen represent the two parents. Two halves that make a whole. Happy Father's day to anyone who plays a father figure to someone or something.

Here is the energy for the week of June 9 to 16. This really feels like Gemini energy to me, up/down, and then regulated. We start with 4's, one an air card and the other a fire card. Air can fan the flames of fire so take the time to go inward. This will help you recognize all your blessings as mentioned with the four of fire. Remember, four is the number that tells you the angels are with you. We need them because of the Transformation card. Things will get shaken up big time. It's important to remember the shakeup is happening for the better! It may not feel like it but the foundation you have built is shaky. Better to tear it down and start again. Do that by thinking about the previous two cards. Have a great week!

Here is the energy for the week of June 2 to 8. We start with the King of Air since he flew out of the deck wanting to be read. This has got that 'I got it all and now I'm bored' vibe. The air cards reflect the mind and this card stood out for me when I was caring from my mom who was dealing with severe dementia. The posture was the same and she was most definitely emotionally unavailable. Clear communication is vital this week to avoid problems in the future. Next we have the first of two 9's in the reading. Nines signify the ending of something. This card is all about standing your ground. Could this be from the emotionally unavailable person? Will clear communication help this situation? Notice the facial expression on the woman? There is none. Keep emotion out of it, only determination. What is a week like this likely to result in? Perhaps, the nine of air card. Two of the most useless words in the world are 'don't worry'. Has that expression ever helped you? Instead, analyze it. Notice how it increases in strength at night only to seem less daunting in the light of day. So perhaps a better expression would be to maintain some reins on your worry. This too shall pass.

Here is the energy for the week of May 26 to June 1. Some interesting energy this week. We start with the Queen of Water because she flew out of the deck wanting to be read. Water cards are emotion cards, all about feelings. The two statements that stood out for me were related to forgetting to care for yourself and follow your heart. Then we get into the air cards that are all about thinking with brain not heart. My instinct says emotional stuff that has been bothering you will finally reach the point where you can process it intellectually. I always feel this is because enough time has passed for this to happen. The Page of Air has his sword down and the butterflies are indicative of transformation. The cards have a sad vibe to them but they are actually positive because they indicate a very strong healing stage. Have a great week.

Here is the energy for the week of May 19 to 25. The cards were eager to send a message today and the Moon card flew out very quickly. It was so easy for me to read the message this week. If I had to synopsize it in two words it would be "unnecessary worry". As someone who comes from a long line of professional worriers I had to kind of laugh at myself. Worry is never useful, but often unavoidable. The sense I get for the worry this week comes not from unhappy events but happy ones. You know that feeling when things are going so well and we are afraid we are tempting fate and will soon get a smack down? That's the feeling. That feeling can make us feel restless and literally cause us to sacrifice our own happiness. The Wise Counselor is here to remind us we can talk to friends who may give us clarity about our worries. Like Bobby McFerrin says, "Don't worry, be happy."

Zowie, I almost forgot the reading for this week. The Queen of Earth is keeping us grounded but making sure we get S**t done! We need to be grounded because the genie is just waiting to grant our wishes, get manifesting! Don't expect an immediate result, you may be wishing for something that requires a bit of planning from the universe. Have a great week.

Here is the energy for the week of May 5 to 11. We start with the nine of water. Hello Lucky Ducky, what a great way to start the week. Believe it and make it so! Is all the good luck overwhelming you? Maybe you are in need of some wise counsel from someone who has experienced the same kind of good luck. Remember good luck can be stressful too because it results in change and you know how we all feel about change! If you can't find wise counsel, it may be time to do some research on your own to help you with this change. Sounds like a great week, try to enjoy the ride!

Here is the energy for the week of April 28 to May 4. Looks like it's a pity party week! We start with the 4 of water. This dude is focused on 3 little empty cups and oh so sad. Dude, wake up you are surrounded by the other fruits of your labour and you have friends in the wings (get it? In the wings, lol) waiting to provide assistance if you just ask. Then we have the one of earth. I love this card, education, a lucky bunny a happy kid, a windfall of abundance. How amazing! But no, someone refuses to get out of their funk and choses to dwell on the negative, turning their back on help and dare I say pouting a bit. (That would be the five of water). People will avoid you when you are in a mood like this BUT if you ask for help they will step up. Let's face it, some of us like to roost in these funks for a while. So mood-wise even if you win the lottery this week you may not say "Great I won the lottery now what do I do" with a smile on your face. You may say "Great I won the lottery" throw up your hands feeling overwhelmed and say with a grimace "now what do I do". It's all about perspective. These cards aren't carved in stone. Make a conscious choice to catch yourself diving into the funk and offer a gratitude to pull yourself out of it.

Here is the energy for the week of April 21 to 27. I know what is planned for my week and these cards are on point. I have exciting stuff coming down the tube and these cards have a theme that is quite loud. STAY GROUNDED. Enjoy what's happening, but keep the frenzied feelings under control. We start with the seven of earth. You've planned well. You are now at the stage where the first shoot has shot up from the earth. Don't harvest yet, there is still some growing to do. We have the Knight of Fire. I call him a cheerleader who works you up but doesn't stick around to help, he just moves on to cheer someone else. That's the frenzy card. And we finish with the wisdom of the Queen of earth stressing practicality and sensibility. I'll share my big news soon. Have a great week.

Here is the energy for the week of April 14 to 20. Has this early spring knocked you for a loop? Are you feeling panicked to start things that you normally wouldn't start for a few weeks? It's amazing how we plan our lives around the seasons and an early season can wreak havoc at times. Pace yourself! It seems some old friendships may be trying to come back to the surface. Don't fret if this doesn't work out. It's like a meal you've craved for so long but once you taste it again, it's not what you remember at all. But our last card reminds us that we may be feeling stressed or disappointed but this will change soon enough. There is light at the end of the tunnel (and for the more negative minded of the group, it is not another car, lol).

Well this will be an interesting week! We are currently in retrograde and the eclipse will visit us tomorrow. I don't know about the rest of you but we've been dealing with a leaking roof and a dishwasher screaming for help, lol. As I was shuffling for the week of April 7 to 13, the first card flipped over. I usually read these cards last but this one wanted to be first. How apropos that the moon card presented itself the day before the solar eclipse. This is a major arcana card and this reading is almost 100% major arcana so listen up. The moon reminds us that things always seem darker at night and the morning usually brings us clarity. Try not to dwell on the unknown at night. The page of earth tells us it's time to do some homework about whatever has been bothering you. Knowledge is power. We have the Major Arcana of Balance but if feels more like it is shouting compromise. Perhaps it's time to reduce the "my way or the highway energy". So that should have been the three cards for the week but I felt the Moon card was an extra from the Universe so I pulled what should be the third card, Major Arcana Transformation. Dang, expect a major change to kick in. This is where we all dig in our heels screaming no. We've put too much work or time into whatever we are invested in. End of reading? Heck no. I'm not finishing with that card. Let's see what comes after that. Sigh of relief, Major Arcana, The World. The shakeup will be positive. Just ride the wave. Have a great week.

Here is the energy of the week for March 31 to April 6. I'll admit, I was really curious to see how this week would pan out. We start Mercury in Retrograde tomorrow and we have the influence of the solar eclipse that will happen on the 8th. Additionally, we have the silly energy of April Fool's Day. And the cards came up reflecting a bunch of everything. Many times these readings tell me a story. This reading is telling me tidbits that I will share with you. Perhaps they will resonate. We start with the Page of Water (Water represents emotions). I think we will be all up in our feelings this week. She seems introspective and in a funk, and darned if that dolphin isn't laughing at her. Then we have the King of Air (Air represents intellect). Is he here to dampen our emotions a bit? Or is he that frustrating person that refuses to see our side of a situation and insists on pointing out the errors in our arguments instead of just listening? This card has also personally come to mean someone suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. My mom would often sit in this type of pose and the disease robbed her of emotion. Those people caring for these people may have a tougher week. We also have the 7 of fire.(Fire represents something you are passionate about). It's almost a choice. Will the water put out the flame or will the air fan it. I like to call this card, "put on your big girl panties" and do it but pick your battles. Everyone may be feeling the influence of wonky energy this week, not just you.

Wow, wow, wow. What a week we have in store for us! We start with the King of Earth, we will have the golden touch all week! Listen to the advice from wise elders! If you have any big projects in the pipeline (like I do), there will be significant action this week. Just remember, significant action or change may require a small course correction (I've had plenty, lol.) Don't scrap the project, just adopt some changes.

Here is the energy for the week of March 17 to 23. Hello Queens! With the 8 of water we can see we've made some decisions to move on from a person, place or situation. Were we in a horrible place before? Not necessarily. This feels more like we are moving from meh, a rut, the lounge chair. Maybe it's the spring weather that is the catalyst for this change. Two Queens were very insistent on being in this reading. These queens represent earth and air, in this case I feel career and intellect. Definitely a time to use the crones wisdom and use head not heart. Enjoy this mature energy as you move into something new.
