Happy Mothers Day 💕 In celebration of this special day, here are some photos to take you all down memory lane with our family and our journey with Steve’s Poké Bar:
1. Steve and Camy at our Brentwood location Feb 2024 for Bites of Burnaby launch. We are where we are today over 7 years in the making!
2. January 2, 2017 - Camy the night before our first opening day at SFU - never having been in the restaurant industry and never having served a guest except family and friends as a tester before the big day! This was just shy of 2 months after having our second baby.
3. May 26, 2018 - the grand opening of our second (Guildford) store one month after having our 3rd baby. We pulled Steve out of the busiest rush day we have ever experienced to capture this family photo. It was a 16 hour day for Steve and we were so blessed to have our family help us with our little ones through this chaos!
4. Behind the scenes with our son with design and planning. This gives you a glimpse of what life was like every store we opened along the way. It wasn’t done in a proper office because home was our office!
5. Our baby moon in Maui December 2017 when we only had one store, but dreamt big, wondering what it would be like to have more stores than kids 🤣
6. Our dinner table doubled as our work table too. It was always a juggle between working and taking care of the kids. 7. Working in our stores while lugging the kids around so most days were take your kids to work days for the first year or two!
8. Fast-forward to December 2023 when we have finally been able to bring all 4 kids to Hawaii to show them where dad grew up and what the Hawaiian lifestyle was like! Behind the scenes of us as parents trying to capture the Waikiki sunset with the kids!
