When you are a custom home builder and remodeler... You face many challenges and your creativity is always required to solve a unique issue. This is a picture of a shower in the calahoo build with an 8/12 pitch vaulted ceiling. Nearing the end of the project... The client requested a steam shower system in this shower. There were a few options.. A- can't be done on a vaulted ceiling as a steam shower needs to be enclosed to build pressure and steam.. B- we can bring the ceiling down to 8' level to allow for the enclosing but losing the beautiful vault ... C- run the glass to the vault portion of the ceiling ( not feasible due to glass size required)... Client didn't like the options.. But really wanted to steamer shower.. So forced to think outside the box.. We asked our glass team if we could put a tempered glass ceiling on the shower... Allowing for the required enclosure as well as maintaining the feel of space with the vaulted ceiling. A bit of head scratching went on and a decision was made to try something they have never done. As it turns out.. It worked wonderfully.. Client was happy.. We were happy.. Win/ win. Moral? Keep a clear head, be creative, and there's always a way!!

Stunning entry to a beautiful acreage home we designed and built Near Calahoo , Alberta. We worked with a client that wanted to utilize . As the project supplier on this post and beam stunner. My father (retired architect) and I spent a few weeks tweaking and improving the original design.. We then sent our plans to Seattle to have them "lindalized" 😁... 2 months later after the foundation was poured... 3 semis arrived with all the wood material included (framing.. Posts and beams.. Floor.. And cedar siding stained to our selected colors)..
The end result was incredible.. 32 foot tall main living area ceiling.. Massive curb appeal and extremely functional .
