Self care is being kind to yourself in the moment. Taking 5 minutes to blend fresh lemons, blue spirulina and pure maple syrup +H20 helps detoxify heavy metals and boost our immune system.
Spirulina is powerful in antioxidants, helps balance blood sugars, and is one of the most nutritionally dense foods loaded with calcium, iron, omega 3’s, protein. All made from natural algae and plants :)
Free Self Care:
* Say ‘no’ to something you’re dreading
* Listen to your body’s need to rest and honour your body with a nap
* Surround yourself with nature’s elements: fire, water, air, earth to restore connection
* Ask for help
* Reflect and journal
* Cook a colourful veggie packed meal from your garden
* Meditate and stretch
* Simplify your work / study space
Friendly nudge that self care doesn’t have to cost money to feel luxe and nourishing.
What is 1 thing from this list you might try?
Who can relate? How do you know when you’re a yogi?
Here’s a few signs:
- you wear yoga pants going out. Pubs, patios, vineyards everywhere.
- you keep a yoga mat in your car or workspace “just in case”
- you’ve incorporated ujjayi breathing into stressful situations (like rush hour traffic)
- your dream vacay is a yoga retreat
- it’s easier to sit in lotus or sukhasana
- namaste becomes your signature line
-you find yourself standing in tree pose waiting in line at the grocery store
- you know how to melt your heart towards the mat
- it feels weird to put shoes on
Saturday’s are for lounging. With pretzels ♥️

A bucket list dream: Tonight I’m teaching yoga with our local Girl Guides and I couldn’t be more excited to share the asanas and breath work that create those zen vibes.
Here are the top 5 reasons why yoga helps kids and teens:
1. Improves Fitness And Physical Health
Students participating in yoga often develop more flexible bodies. It may help in improving coordination, balance, strength, and flexibility.
2. Reduces Stress And Anxiety
Yoga may help calm the nervous system and thus regulate the kids/teen’s response to stress with breathing, meditation and asana techniques to clear energy and create space.
3. Improves Self-Esteem And Body Image
Adolescence is a time when children might experience low self-confidence, body image issues and low self-esteem. Yoga is rooted in the principle of non-judgment. Regular yoga practice can lead@to kids/teens become more self-accepting by letting them connect with their inner self.
4. Encourages Creativity
Yoga may help in reducing impatience and impulsivity by improving the ability to be attentive to what is arising and responding effectively. It may help kids/teens gain composure and become more disciplined.
5. Develops Discipline And Self-Regulation
Yoga helps in reducing impatience and impulsivity by improving the ability to be attentive. It can help kids/teens gain composure and regulate emotions.

Garden Therapy. Splitting plants and scaling efforts. Messy as heck but this must be true love. 🤣
2 snake plants became 5. The money tree and others found new homes in larger pots and my beloved aloe vera had been split into 3. All tropicals moved outside for summer to thrive.
What are your gardening strategies to spread and scale?

Health and Wellness on a Budget Day 24!
Myofascial release is easy to learn and helps release tension and pain.
You can apply simple compression, cross-fibre (side to side rolling) or pin point a trigger spot and stretch.
5 min x 3-4 times a week helps hydrate connective tissue and massage muscles providing a lot of relief. And you control the amount of pressure.
My fave is the feet! Fascia and lymph release help build flexibility and reduce inflammation. Try it today! Nothing to lose, just remember to breathe naturally.

*newly curated yoga series alert!
Join us for virtual yoga from the comforts of your own home, cultivating rest with alignment and intention.
I’m committed to kindness and being useful - right now. Especially in the struggle. We all could use a little down dog, meditation and breath work.
Some of the benefits include:
Restorative poses help promote proper blood flow, which aides the muscles to repair as connective tissue brings in oxygen and nutrients.
Restorative yoga helps release tension that builds in muscle and connective tissue helping maintain a good range of motion. When you hold a pose, the connective tissue begins to release especially the fascia.
Through breath work and meditation, yoga can decrease stress and bring a sense of calm.
Mondays @ 7pm. 4 sessions starting May 17th. Self investment $30 (4 sessions). DM or reach out at [email protected] for details. Namaste 🙏

Reading books to my kids that are of mutual interest = priceless entertainment. Don’t underestimate kids ability to comprehend some of life’s most profound lessons! Some of our best discussions about life have arisen from reading books together.
Way of the Peaceful Warrior is a book about a super competitive college athlete that meets an old peaceful warrior “Soc” at a gas station. His life is forever changed as he discovers what’s really important in life with humour, heart and tears.
Shout out to for the book recommendation!
