Although the process is almost identical to Mastectomy Tattooing after Breast Cancer, Gender Affirming clients tend to have more scar tissue around and within the ni**le itself. This can require further sessions, as some scar tissue has difficulty holding ink. **letattoo

While efforts are made to spare the ni**le, there can be damage to the tissue. Many times the ni**le itself does not take, and remaining tissue is Ar**la only - which can be distorted, have a build up of scar tissue, and lack
consistent pigmentation.

Although the process is almost identical to Mastectomy Tattooing after Breast Cancer, Gender Affirming clients tend to have more scar tissue around and within the ni**le itself. This can require more sessions to get the ink to take. In some cases, it is beneficial to the process to have Scar Resurfacing Treatments prior to tattooing.

My fellow Humidity Trigger Migraine Friends - is there anything you do to help prevent an attack? Humidity REALLY affects my headaches, and my go to has always been to pop some preventative Tylenol & Advil. I absolutely go over the recommended dose within a 24hr period, and my liver isn’t thrilled about it. Sumitriptan oral and nasal is a 50/50 if it’s going to be effective. What have you tried that seems to help so you can still function?

From diagnosis to remission - the journey with Breast Cancer is tumultuous. You may find it hard to embrace your new body after a Mastectomy. You may feel incomplete, less than, or like your body is no longer yours (some descriptives expressed by clients).

Commonly asked questions:

💰 Cost? : You May qualify for funding, which means your Treatment is at no cost to you and direct billed. For those that are ineligible for coverage, I discount the cost. That being said, I will never turn a client away due to financial barriers.

⚡️Pain? : It is common for most people to have minimal sensation to the area due to nerve damage. For those that do have some sensation, I offer topical numbing for those who want it. Your comfort is one of my top priorities.

⏳Healing Timeline & Restrictions: Healing generally takes 4-6 weeks. It can take longer for those with other Health Conditions that impair your immune system. Natural looking is the goal. Sure glam brows are trending, however they don’t always age well.

I prefer to work in a way that protects clients from painful removal years down the road. I do this by within the natural brow shape using inorganic ink to allow for minimal colour shifting and natural fading.

I don’t often work with colour, but this was fun. Although Permanent Makeup and Mastectomy Tattooing are the main types of tattooing I do, I do dabble is select body tattoo designs. My preference is black and grey botanicals, critters, cottagecore Arnold Lobel sketch style pieces (think Frog & Toad).

You won’t often see me in jeans at work. I opt for a black ensemble- and this is why. No, I haven’t figured out a way to remove ink stains 🫣

Real talk for a minute.

Being a one lady show as a business owner, and a single income home - I often get moments where I wonder if I should pack it all in and get a regular job that will provide more stability.

But then…..moments like yesterday happen.

My client and I both had reactions we didn’t expect to happen. As she was looking in the mirror, I was cleaning up and I didn’t hear and feedback from her. As I turned around to ask how she feels, I saw that her silence was because she was overcome with emotion. In that moment we both shed some tears, and I knew that I am exactly where I am supposed to be - doing what I’m supposed to be doing 💕

This case is being approached with caution as the skin the skin barrier is severely compromised, as well as some underlaying health conditions and medications. It is imperative to not over work the skin to keep what integrity it has intact, which also reduces the risk of infection. This session we put down our base and shadow/highlight areas. The next step will be to build off the base by adding more realistic details.

As the name says, Mastectomy Tattooing is a Healing Treatment for those who have undergone a as a result of .However, there are many Breast Diseases that can lead to a person having Breast Reconstruction, which can also lead to the loss of ni**les.

When there is cover up and colour correcting work to be done, we must work in layers. Our first session was to put down a colour correcting base layer and shadowing. Based on how this heals, our second session will reinforce our base layer and start adding more definition and highlights.

I offer Realistic Ni**le Tattooing for Breast Cancer Warriors who may have suffered loss or damage to their ni**les post Mastectomy. This Treatment is completely customizable from size, shape, color and details. You’re in safe hands, as not only are we Surgeon Approved with the Breast Care Program, your Artist is educated on the surgical process, scar and skin anatomy, skin trauma, and more.

This client had ni**le graft done, taking a portion of tissue from one breast and grafting it to the other. I created a ni**le based on her existing one, while colour blending and camouflaging the scar tissue on the other.

I don’t post a ton of body tattoos, as that’s not my main focus,however, this is pretty neat to see a before and after. I do select body tattoo pieces to keep those hand muscles active, continue learning, and observe different skin types and techniques. I did not do the original tattoo, but did my best to make it better.

This client had a and chose to not go forward with breast reconstruction. This was a challenging case as the remaining tissue on the Treatment site was mostly scar tissue. It’s important to use the appropriate tools when working with scar tissue, as well as observing how the tissue reacts while working. Hi Friends! Just your local Paramedical Tattoo Artist here.

At this time, Mastectomy Tattooing is not covered by OHIP or Private Insurance. I'm going to be transparent - I have NO idea how to advocate for this to change. What I do know with 100% certainty is that is should be covered for those who want to utilize the Treatment. Some Hospital Foundations will offer coverage for Breast Cancer Patients, dependent on their approval criteria.

Many people have contently adjusted to their new body after a Mastectomy, while others have had their body image, mental and emotional health, negatively impacted. Clients have disclosed that they no longer look at themselves in mirrors, hide their breasts from their partners, feel self conscious during intimacy or avoid it all together, are apprehensive entering the dating world and so much more. Mastectomy Tattooing has proven to be an invaluable Treatment for those who have had Breast Cancer or Preventative Mastectomies - Restoring confidence and reconnecting the body and mind.

I want to see my Business progress to being one of, if not THE place to go to receive Mastectomy Tattooing.
