Flora's Walk St Thomas
Join us to spread awareness and fundraise for perinatal mental health!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!
We are so excited to share that in collaboration with CMHA Thames Valley Addiction & Mental Health Services we raised over $3000 through our Flora's Walk St Thomas event on May 4th.
A huge thank you to all those who donated money, door prizes and came out to Waterworks Park to support the walk. The money raised through this event will directly impact the mental health services available to mothers in the St. Thomas/Elgin community.
For more information regarding these support services, please follow Elgin Postpartum Support and Postpartum Counselling Centre London.

Meet your walk leaders:
Hey there! I'm a therapist Intern at Innerworks Private Practice and a professor at Fanshawe, specializing in early childhood. My passion for perinatal mental health spans close to two decades, supporting children and their families in the early years sector during the first five years and now in the therapeutic setting. When I'm not at the practice or teaching, you can find me running, getting crafty with my kiddos, and exploring the great outdoors. I am so privileged to be part of this year's Flora’s Walk in St. Thomas! I can't wait to join our voices together on May 4th. See you there!
Did you know???
Meet your walk leaders :
Hi, I'm Maddy! I am a social worker at Innerworks and love working with new parents! I believe that early intervention is key and that there are incredibly hopeful outlooks for people who experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.
When I am not working directly with clients I am spending my time with my family, cooking and getting outside as much as possible.
I can't wait to see everyone at Flora's Walk this year!
Meet your walk leaders:
Hello! I'm Alison Bekendam. I'm a MSW student completing my internship at Innerworks Counseling in Lambeth. My professional background is in midwifery and I've been working with new parents in Elgin, Oxford, and Middlesex since 2016. I'm looking forward to joining Flora's Walk in St Thomas.

Hey there! I'm Laura Brunskill, a social worker and therapist passionate about supporting perinatal populations. You can find me at a private practice, InnerWorks, in lovely Lambeth most days. When I’m not there, I’m probably walking with my family on London’s city trails, or at home playing piano. I had the pleasure of co-leading Flora’s Walk in London last year and now, I look forward to connecting with you all at St Thomas.
