Come meet women scientists on September 11th for the 2nd edition of Soapbox Science in Quebec City. Looking forward to interact with the public and to answer your questions regarding our research! 🤩👩🏫👩🔬💁♀️
Thrilled to share our latest review on the contribution of Rho GTPase signaling networks to skin cancer progression. Congratulations to all the coauthors. Hope you enjoy it!
Skin Cancers and the Contribution of Rho GTPase Signaling Networks to Their Progression Skin cancers are the most common cancers worldwide. Among them, melanoma, basal cell carcinoma of the skin and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma are the three major subtypes. These cancers are characterized by different genetic perturbations even though they are similarly caused by a lifelong exposu...
Since 2019, the Scholarship for the Next Generation of Scientists has been determinant in establishing the lab at the CHU de Québec - Université Laval Research Center. I will always be grateful for this funding, which made it possible to begin our work and facilitated the recruitment of formidable young scientists and research assistants.
Today, we are asking you to help us supporting our fundraising efforts. By supporting the Cancer Research Society, you are directly helping the fight against cancer by notably helping funding new investigators and world leaders in Canada so they can pursue their endeavour to understand cancer and identify new therapeutic opportunities.
We greatly appreciate your support and we will keep you posted on our progress!

Happy to welcome Coralie Bergeron and Justine Laprise for a summer internship with us in the Laurin Lab! Starting today, Coralie and Justine will investigate how cytoskeletal regulators contribute to epidermal differentiation. Let's have a fun summer 🤩👩🔬🌞
We are excited to welcome Frédérique Proulx in our team!😀 Frédérique is a bachelor student at Université Laval. She will spend the next 7 weeks with us to learn about life in a lab! Let's show her how fun it can be!👩🔬👩💻🕵️♀️🤓
Say hello to Alessandra! We are thrilled to have Alessandra Pecora joining our team as a Research Professional. She will be studying hair follicle morphogenesis during embryonic skin development.

At last! Our website is running! We are recruiting students that would engage in a Master or PhD degree to study the role of Rho GTPases signaling networks during skin development and cancer progression
Home | Laurin Lab Our research aims at understanding the molecular mechanisms that orchestrate epithelial tissue development and to comprehend how when deregulated they can contribute to cancer progression.
The Laurin lab is looking for energetic and passionate master and/or PhD students to expand our team! Please share with your network!
In this lab, WE BELIEVE
Absolutely thrilled to share with you our review (and first paper of the Laurin Lab!) published today in which we discuss the latest high throughput efforts to tackle Rho GTPases networks complexity. Great collaborative effort with Manel Dahmene and Laura Quirion. Hope you enjoy it!
High Throughput strategies Aimed at Closing the GAP in Our Knowledge of Rho GTPase Signaling Since their discovery, Rho GTPases have emerged as key regulators of cytoskeletal dynamics. In humans, there are 20 Rho GTPases and more than 150 regulators that belong to the RhoGEF, RhoGAP, and RhoGDI families. Throughout development, Rho GTPases choregraph a plethora of cellular processes essenti...
2 months after opening this door, I am now officially closing it for an undetermined amount of time. Sad to be putting an hold on experiments during this exciting time, but I recognize the importance of early measures to flatten the curve! Let's all fight this together! Stay tune! We will be back :)
We are inviting you to follow our team page! We will be delighted to share here exciting news related to our research projects. As a Research Lab in the Québec City area, it's important for us to engage with the community and keep them informed about the incredible work and developments they are helping to support.
Hello Facebook friends! Since January 6th, my team has joined the Centre de Recherche du CHU de Québec - Université Laval in the Oncology axis. Our research activities focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms that orchestrate skin embryonic development and how when deregulated these can contribute to skin cancer progression.
