Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival

September is a busy one folks, end-of-summer beach visits, back-to-school schedules, harvest season and now we hold space and time for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As we go through the month we are going to take time each week to highlight some of the work and steps being taken at the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society to include, prioritize, and celebrate our Indigenous community and neighbours.

We are honoured to now start our festival by inviting our local Secwépemc leaders and elders to our mainstage to welcome festival patrons to their territory. This starts the festival off in a good way and sets the tone of inclusion for the weekend.
We are proud and grateful to be able to host the Salmon Arm ROOTSandBLUES festival in Secwépemculecw, the unceded traditional territory of the Secwepemc Peoples.

Have you picked up your 2024 festival Pocket Ashtray yet??? If you are lucky you will run into Jack and his team from Pocket Ashtrays by www.BrainGarden.ca BUTT you can also grab one from The Merch Tent.
Remember when your pocket ashtray is full please empty into the green butt receptacles ( located in the festival smoking Zones) The to***co waste is recycled & generates funds towards Brain Garden’s Litter Education & Wildfire Prevention campaign!

Day 1 of the 32nd Annual ROOTSandBLUES Festival is here! Let's get into it!

SASCU Box Offices opens at 10am. You can exchange your weekend or friday tickets for Wristbands

Festival gates open at 4pm. You grab your spot, get some food, and check out the Community Futures Shuswap Artisan Village

5:45pm The Festival kicks off with a Secwepémc welcome and Land Acknowledgement

6pm Crystal Shawanda hits our Mainstage and KRUTЬ begins on the Barn Stage
