4 years ago today, 16 lives were lost and many were and are still left with physical and emotional scars. The care that STARS Air Ambulance provides to those in need is incomparable, and is imperative to the people of Saskatchewan.

Check out this custom instrument panel from Classic Instruments. That STARS Air Ambulance red interior is really pulled together with the details in the panel. When we say this car has a full custom interior, we really meant it. Beautiful!

The guitar.

This D-ROC custom guitar was designed and built by Dingwall Guitars. The team at Dingwall did an outstanding job at designing this guitar, and matching the red to the interior of the Pegasus car. We are so proud to have so many talented partnerships, and passionate people behind The Pegasus Project for STARS. The workmanship is incomparable.

A little bit about Dingwall Guitars:
They currently occupy over 6000 sq ft. of space in Saskatoon’s industrial area. They have a core team of 14 that are very involved in the selection of woods, production and customer service. Many of his guitars are in the hands of bands such as: Duran Duran, Dave Matthews, and Lee Sklar (a studio legend).

Another common question we get asked is about the rims. So, let's move on down to the rims on the car!

The rims and the center caps, complete with the Pegasus logo, were custom designed and machined by Industrial Machine & Mfg. Inc.

The hoops were sponsored by Kelvin's Wheel, Tire & Polish. Both of these companies again, are local to Saskatoon!

🚨 Behind the Build: Series Post #2 🚨

Q: How did you choose the color of the car, and what color is it? (We get asked this one a lot, so let's dive in!)

A: The color is actually a custom mix Byron Thiessen of Creative Concept Restoration made using PPG Paints, and was largely inspired by the new Ford Motor Company production color, called "Leadfoot Grey."

Now that things have settled down here a bit, why don’t we dive into a little series called “behind the build”. Let’s talk about who built the car, where it was built and some details about the car that you may not know!

Many may already know, but for those who don’t, this 1968 Mustang was built by Byron Thiessen - Creative Concept Restorations of Warman, Saskatchewan.

Byron dedicated approximately 1500 hours to the meticulous build of this car. We are very thankful for his generosity, his skill, and his workmanship on this project!

Lot #3003 - In April 2018, the Humboldt Broncos Jr 'A' Hockey Club (out of Saskatchewan, Canada) hockey team bus accident took 16 precious lives and devastated a community, a province and a country - with effects felt worldwide. Instrumental in the critical care provided in that tragedy was the work of the Saskatchewan-based Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) Foundation. In the belief that something good must come of such a horrific tragedy, this "Pegasus Project" custom-built Mustang was conceived to benefit STARS. With noted Canadian stage and screen actor Kim Coates (star of “SonsofAnarchy”, "Bad Blood," "Blackhawk Down" and many more) serving as the Project Ambassador - supported by numerous corporate sponsors and NHL players that included Brayden Schenn, Jayden Schwartz and Tyler Bozak of the St. Louis Blues as well as Luke Schenn of the Tampa Bay Lightning - the project came to life. The end result is this completely custom-built, one-of-a-kind 1968 Ford Motor Company Mustang Resto-Mod, powered by a 535hp Ford Racing 427ci V8 engine backed by a TREMEC TKO600 5-speed manual transmission. Designed by UFL Graffix and completely built by Creative Concepts Restorations, the Smoke Gray Mustang with Reno Red pinstripe accents also features TCI custom coilover front and rear suspension, Borla Exhaust fuel injection and exhaust, Wilwood 13-inch front and rear disc brakes, and handmade custom sheet metal on the front and rear fascia, front and rear spoilers, hood and decklid. Radius/stretched wheel well openings house one-off custom billet wheels and out back are custom taillights, while a complete custom red leather interior lets the car's occupants ride in comfort. Countless hours were invested in creating this incredible car, which was unveiled at the 2021 SEMA Show.
