We wanted to share some important information about the flu and COVID-19 vaccines that are currently available at Nanogram Pharmacy. As we enter respiratory illness season, it's important to prioritize our health and the health of those around us. Both influenza (flu) and Covid vaccines are offered to Saskatchewan residents with a valid health card.

1. Flu Vaccine:
• Afluria: For ages 5 and above.
• Fluzone High Dose Quadrivalent: Specifically designed for ages 65 and above.
Getting a flu shot is an effective way to protect yourself and others from the flu. Please consider getting your flu shot if you fall into one of these age groups.

2. COVID-19 Vaccines: We have two COVID-19 vaccines available:
• Moderna XBB.1.5: Indicated for those aged 5 and above.
• Pfizer XBB.1.5: Indicated for individuals aged 12 and above.

The COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be a vital tool in lessening the spread and severity of Covid-19 infections.

Flu Shots: We're ready to kick off flu season! Walk-ins are welcome. You can visit our website to book an appointment to get your preferred time slot. Don't miss out!

New Covid Vaccine (Moderna XBB.1.5): Exciting news! We'll be receiving the new Moderna XBB.1.5 Covid vaccines. If you're due for a booster or still need your primary series, here's what you need to know:
• Booster doses require a minimum of 3 months since your last Covid vaccination.
• Primary series (first 2 doses) should have a 4-week gap between shots.
• Our pharmacy can vaccinate those aged 5 and older.

RSV Vaccination (Arexvy): Great news for our older community members! We can now co-administer Flu shots, Covid vaccines, and the new RSV vaccination, Arexvy. Here's some important info about Arexvy:
• It's not currently covered by the Saskatchewan government, but check if your third-party insurance plan covers it.
• Arexvy is indicated for individuals over 60 years old and requires a prescription from a physician or nurse practitioner.

We have a certified compression stocking fitter on-site and offer compression stocking fittings every weekday (excluding statutory holidays). It is important to be fitted by a certified compression stocking fitter prior to ordering or purchasing compression stockings so you can ensure you are getting the proper compression and length of stockings. Prescription compression stockings are anything above 20mmHg and are covered by some third-party insurance plans with a prescription and with documentation of a certified fitting. There is no charge for the compression stocking fitting, however appointments are recommended. There are many fabric choices, colours and patterns available!
