👀Healthy Vision for Children 👶

👁️The First Exam: Babies should undergo their first eye exam between 6 and 9 months old. This initial assessment includes a thorough look into their eyes and basic tests to evaluate your child’s eye health, focus, and tracking.

👁️The Preschool Years: Between 2 and 5, children should have a second exam. This allows the optometrist to continue evaluating your child’s eye health, focusing, tracking, and looking for signs of amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes).

👓Presbyopia is a reduction in the eyes’ ability to accommodate that occurs normally with age.
👉Basically, the ciliary muscles in your eye are no longer able to create enough power to focus on things at near. The crystalline lens of your eye loses its elasticity and flexibility. Signs and symptoms would be eye strain and blurry vision and...difficulty focusing on this up close.
