Hey everyone just wanted to jump on here and make the announcement official 📢. I am the new Saskatchewan Technical Sales Educator for 🙌

To all my new followers, hello! My name is Jon! I have been a hairstylist for 8 years. During this time I was able to work with multiple different colour lines, allowing experimentation with a variety of possible paths that can be used to achieve the exact colour goals for any particular situation.

I enjoy lived in blonde projects and creating major transformations through hair extensions. Shades EQ has always been my preferred option for my blondes. I am trained in four different hair extension methods, including beaded weft, tape-in, i-tip, & k-tip.

Music, a solid series to stream, and all things pop culture are my main interests. In my spare time, I volunteer for the Riversdale community fridge. I reside with my partner, Braden, and a small dog named Finn. I hope to inspire fellow creatives that are also striving to elevate their craft, through education on cutting-edge techniques and technologies.

With the major milestone of my Journeyperson certification now behind me, my increased skill as an artist will result in some different prices.

As of January 2024, I will be changing the way I charge for my services. There will be a base hourly rate of $80. This will also include the cost of any colour product used. I have offered a la carte services for most of my career, but this change makes the most sense for me. I am aware that getting your hair coloured or getting extensions is a luxury service, and I usually am able to work within budgets. However, I completely understand if you must see another artist with this change.

I get it! Times are weird, but I want to make sure I’m being transparent. You can book online the same way, but just know this is a ballpark estimate, and may be different at the time of your appointment. This is why consultations are faves of mine & a must for my guests. I will never say no to a new guest, but a consult is mandatory before we proceed.

Hey everyone! I have some exciting news! My journey person qualification came in the mail! As many of you know my story as a hair stylist began back in 2016, while I resided in Medicine Hat, AB. I moved back home to Saskatchewan in 2017. During this time I was a newer apprentice registered under the Alberta Trades which was a blessing & a curse. When I moved back to Saskatchewan, I was instructed to restart my apprenticeship. This meant the apprenticeship that I had started for about a year now, was no longer. My apprenticeship would not transfer over. Rather than be sour, I was able to view this as an opportunity to revise and strengthen my skills. Fast fwd to 2021 I was invited to write my provincial exam. I passed. At the end summer of 2022 I was scheduled for my provincial practical where I had to live demo everything I knew as a stylist. I got the results 6 months later, I had passed. 2023 has been an exceptional year for self growth. To finally see it all in printing, has given me the validation I’ve been needing all year. To all the mentors/salons I had/have, I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, thank you. For believing & showing me the ropes. Your inspiration and passion was vital for my growth

As many of you know, August is my last month in Swift Current. I have mixed emotions as Swift Current has been my home since June 2017.
