It’s time to debut another one of the exciting projects Island X X has been working on for the last several months! 🤝 🧡

Last night at Persephone’s 50th Anniversary Red Rose Gala they debuted a special collaboration, with a limited edition 50th Anniversary blend 🍊🍏

The Persephone team and Crossmount worked together for many months to develop this refreshing spiced orange and citrus-forward hard apple cider.

Island had the incredible opportunity to design the label. Island was inspired by the longevity and continued growth of Persephone theatre over the past 50 years. We incorporated a throwback vibe as a tribute to the theatre’s conception in 1974, while adding elements of growth, prosperity, and modernization to capture the direction Persephone continues to go in 2024. A huge shoutout to Nicole for her creative genius 👏

Happy 50th Anniversary Persephone and thank you again for the opportunity to collaborate on this special project.

This collaboration started over three years ago and has ranged from promotional videos and photography to art documentaries and eventually a full website redesign. It has been such a pleasure working with such creative minds with the collective goal of showcasing this hidden gem in the prairies. For 10 years, Island has proudly supported the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Together, we’ve achieved incredible things: 2 website redesigns, 2 brand refreshes, and multiple annual reports & newsletters. But what we are most proud of is playing a small part in over $4 MILLION in online donations for kids and families in Saskatchewan! Here’s to making a difference, together.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year! 🗓️

Dan joined the Island team last year as an opportunity to learn about the web industry and strengthen his skills as an aspiring programmer.

This is a man of many talents. In addition to being an awesome computer programming with Island. Dan is also an actor, a professionally trained opera singer, a D&D aficionado, and an all-round great guy. When he is not busy coding with Island he is working at Persephone Theatre as the Box Office Manager.

🎭 For the next several months Dan will be dedicating his efforts to the Fine Arts world, and splitting his time between Persephone Theatre and the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra.

We are so excited for him to embark on this next learning opportunity and can’t wait to have him back at an Island desk in the fall.

We are excited to be working on an upcoming branding and logo design project. At Island we place a major fous on the importance of great strategy and beautiful design. We like to slow things down and get to know our clients. A kickoff meeting and a moodboard are the best way to set that vibe that will carry our designs all the way to the finish line.

Island is proud to launch a new web app to support SARC’s “Start With Hello” campaign! This initiative tackles the labour shortage in Saskatchewan’s Disability Services Sector. Our app simplifies job posting for SARC members, allowing them to import positions from popular job boards, use a template, or create a posting from scratch. It also streamlines the applicant tracking process.

For job seekers, startwithhello.ca lets you search for positions in your area and filter based on your needs. You can even create an account for easy one-click applications!

We’re so proud to continue our partnership with Wanuskewin Heritage Park since 2015!

In 2023, we collaborated on a comprehensive website redesign, complete with a robust design system, to support their journey. Now, we’re honored to be building a Learning Management System focused on Truth and Reconciliation in the workplace and integrating Indigenous culture into school curriculums. Wanuskewin is also on their exciting “Road to UNESCO” (target 2026) to become Saskatchewan’s first UNESCO World Heritage site.

Wanuskewin educates and inspires future generations by exploring the past and fostering a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures.

Persephone Theatre is excited to announce the third ANNUAL 48-hour Q***rmunity Theatre Race!

It’s your time to shine! Everyone in the Saskatoon Q***r community (2SLGBTQIA+ and their allies) are invited to celebrate Pride Month at Persephone! Get your friends or coworkers together and submit a team application by April 26, 2024.

Five teams will be selected by committee with representatives from Persephone Theatre and Saskatoon Pride. Each team will receive an inspiration package, then the lights will go up on five original Q***r-inspired plays on Persephone’s Backstage Stage in front of a live audience!

This year we welcome actor, singer, writer and drag king, Titus Androgynous as host!

Performances in the BackStage Stage at Persephone Theatre.
June 8 at 8pm
June 9 at 2pm
