The Raw Carrot, an MCC program in Ontario, employs talented individuals like Kathleen Tye who cook up batches of delicious gourmet soup made from locally sourced vegetables.

These soups are sold at MCC Thrift shops and vendors across Ontario.

Because you shop at your local MCC Thrift shop, students at the Bishop Mazzolari Secondary School in South Sudan all received dignity kits.

Each kit contains reusable menstrual pads and other hygiene items. They are shipped to areas where sustainable hygiene solutions are expensive and not readily available due to conflict or disaster. MCC dignity kits relieve the financial burden from families while reducing material waste.

Many countries like Nepal are experiencing food insecurity resulting in malnutrition for children.

Through an MCC-supported partner focused on improving maternal and child nutrition, women like Sumitra Chepang are able to make food with a supply of nutrient-rich super flour. This allows her and her children to get the nutrients they need.

At the Loreto Schools Rumbek in South Sudan, infant care kits are part of an MCC-supported program that helps keep babies healthy, clean and comfortable.

The kits are often distributed to mothers through local healthcare facilities after they have completed a full course of vaccines for their babies. They contain blankets and other newborn necessities that help ensure children’s long-term health.

Because you support your local MCC Thrift shop, in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, a local MCC partner is able to provide art therapy classes for internally displaced and host families who find themselves in difficult life situations due to the conflict.

Mental health support and training is provided for people of all ages through group activities and individual consultations with a trauma psychologist.

Julienne and her siblings walk an hour up to five times a day for water. This water isn’t always clean, but is always needed.

Because you support your local MCC Thrift shop, MCC’s local partners are installing three boreholes for drinking water for families like Julienne’s in Kikwit.

With this project, nearly 3,000 people will have access to clean drinking water closer to home, preventing water-borne diseases and saving time.
