Featuring conversations with Yann Martel and Alice Kuipers, this video captures what makes Turning the Tide a hub for community, social justice, and meaningful stories. Take a look and let us know what you think!

Regina's The Penny University Bookstore is going out of business. This is very sad news overall but especially since it was one of the first bookstores to open in the province in the last two decades. It is a good reminder of how difficult it is to sustainably run a bookstore and how critical local support is to help us keep our doors open. Every time you choose to buy books from a local indie, you make it that much more likely that we will continue to be around going into the future.
Amazon doesn't prioritize and support local authors, they don't donate to local organizations, they don't pay living wages to people in your community. Please keep this in mind when choosing where you purchase your next book.
👀Things have been quiet on the grid, but we’ve been busy behind the scenes revamping our website! 🌟 In addition to redesigning existing pages, we’ve added a brand-new section for community discounts.
We currently offer 4 types of discounts:
- Nonprofits, unions, and public sector
- Educators and librarians
- Book clubs
- Faith-based organizations
These special discounts are our way of giving back to the community that supports us. Find out more on our ‘Community Discount’ page at turning.ca!
