My studio is located downtown on 3rd Ave in The Avenue Building which is stacked with an awesome community of entrepeneurs. I am a journeyperson hair and makeup artist working in the industry for the last ten years. I am extremely passionate about what I do and have a vision to be more inclusive and offer more clean ingredients and holistic beauty/wellness options to our diverse city. I’m looking for someone dedicated, accountable and hungry for growth and success to share my almost 840 sq/ft studio with.

Whether our schedules be staggered and you want to work more part time, or if you’re busy enough to be here full time, we can sort out the details of the space you’ll be utilizing and working out rent accordingly. I’m also very happy to offer my knowledge for those wanting to expand their horizons and enter into makeup and/or styling and potentially collaborate on photoshoots, weddings and events with me!

Little Lukie's first haircut!

Always a great day at work when my beautiful Grandma (who by the way, is 92 this year) comes to the studio get her brows done. She's such a queen 👑😍 hair, nails, brows, and makeup always done - polished, stylish and accessorized to the max... she is the ultimate GOALS!

I have decided to add one-on-one classes (both for hair AND makeup) to my online booking and there will be different options with different lengths of time so I can taylor the class to YOUR needs. I will also be rolling out more small group classes in the coming weeks, too, so keep your eyes peeled. Calling all girl dads/caregivers!

Do you want to learn to do some basic styling for your little ones? I am offering a class for any papas/caregivers who would like to have some hands on experience to do braids, ponytails, and hair care for their little princesses! This will be an hour long course with hands-on techniques that you can practice on either on a mannequin or for that extra bonding experience, you’re welcome to bring your daughter to the class to learn with!

This will be offered on a Sunday afternoon to accommodate for a wider variety of schedule needs.

Date options for this course will be FEBRUARY 18 or MARCH 3, so I will leave it to you to tell me which day works best for YOU!

Esoteric Studio Update!

Online booking is available for October in the new studio. Because things took a little longer than expected to get into the space, there will be some work still being done for the next little while so I appreciate my guests patience as I get organized and set up! Surprise!

I am opening my own private studio mid-September! (details to come later, but first...)

With that, of course means a heavy hearted departure from my home away from home for the last nearly 8 years, The Lemon Tree Salon and Studio. First and foremost I want to pay homage to my time in this space that I am incredibly grateful for. During the span of my career here, I have grown and changed in so many ways both personally and professionally and I have been given an abundance of incredible opportunities that I will always be so thankful for. Working with this team has been such a beautiful thing and I will miss seeing everyone’s faces every day but I also know that I have built some truly precious friendships that will last a life time so it is by no means a permanent ‘goodbye’. I so look forward to collaborating in the future with all of these talented artists on different events and creative endeavors as well as still being able to lean on one another for any troubleshooting or support along the way. Thank you so much to the owner Heather Jebson for bringing me into TLT family and being more than a leader but also a friend and confidant over the last almost decade. Heather as well as Kelso Martini, the lead stylist, who I’ve been working alongside with from day one, and our manager Kelsey Alice who I’ve been fortunate to work with for the last handful of years have always seen my potential, and have continued pushing and inspiring me to reach new levels in this industry and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you wonderful women for truly having my back through some of my darkest days over the years and for continuing to cheer for me and support me as I move in a new direction with my career. To the rest of the team, some I’ve worked with for extended periods, some for shorter, Jillian, Meredith, Eve, Raea, Lena and Lauren, I want to thank you all for the memories; the camaraderie, the laughs, the heart to hearts, and for showing me the true meaning of teamwork in every sense of the word. There’s been many lessons learned, theres been special connections formed, and I want to reiterate that although I am not going to be in the building, I am still very much here for each and every one of you and I am only a phone call or text away for whatever you need whether it be on a personal level or professional. From the bottom of my heart, I love you all and will sorely miss working with you every day. Thank you all for everything – no words are sufficient to properly honour my time here, but I hope you all feel my deep respect and appreciation for the time I’ve had here.


Now, I’d like to tell you all about my newest endeavour!

I have made the tough decision to go independent and develop a new space where I can of course continue doing hair, makeup and esthetics, but my vision is to also bring together a focus of holistic healing/internal wellness and balance into the external beauty industry. Though I will be working independently, I intend to have my studio [Esoteric (/ˌiːsə(ʊ)ˈtɛrɪk/
adjective· intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest )] be collaborative space that other independent artists can also be a part of in any way that suits their individual needs. I also will be fascilitating classes for both others in the industry as well as for clients seeking knowledge for styling/makeup/etc. in the future and I will keep you all posted as that develops!

While I am still working out the kinks of starting a new business, I can tell you that the space is beautiful, bright and full of character and I cannot wait to share it with you all. I will be located downtown in The Avenue Building on the third floor. I am hoping to have online booking up and running within this next week and will share updates, links, and photos along the way to help with this transition that I so appreciate everyone’s patience with me throughout as I navigate this new adventure! The hope is to start bringing clients in around the 15th of September or so. In the meantime I will continue with my bookings at The Lemon Tree and will be trickling in throughout September to tie up loose ends before my official opening, of which I will announce as soon as I know for sure.
