Obsessed is an understatement with this cake. I had the privilege of making this cake for a birthday girl who said ‘why not’ when celebrating her this year. Her inspiration came from dark colours, astrology, flowers and coconut!!!

The cake is a vanilla coconut cake with coconut cream buttercream filling and toasted coconut. 🥥🥥🥥

I like to continue trying new things to be able to offer to all of you! Although this was absolutely delicious, I would change a couple things. Like instead of an entire cake of cookie, alternating layers with a chocolate cake. Who wants to give this a try?

This set up cupcakes includes four flavours: berry, salted caramel, coconut pineapple carrot and espresso flavoured.

Summertime means summertime flavours with fresh fruit! This cupcake display includes two different flavours - one for dark chocolate lovers and one for lighter lovers.

The chocolate is a Saskatoon berry filling with dark berry accent. Where the vanilla is a raspberry filling and peach berry accents.

This little golf bag was created for a client cake that they baked, designed and made! They just wanted a custom piece to add to it.

For those that don’t know, I want to share about a ‘little project’ I took on in 2022. Also known as my wedding dress.

I always knew I wanted color on my wedding dress. So when the time came to make it a reality, I had to figure out how to do just that: make it a reality. A ‘how to’ guide wasn’t something I could just find on YouTube or Google like I search when learning new cake decorating techniques and trends. This was something that I was going to have to completely figure out on my own.

The extremely short version is: I built a paint room in my basement and began months of intensive trial and error, testing numerous pieces of materials, mixing paint batches, and a couple breakdowns before I even sprayed that first spot of paint on my actual dress. A couple more months later, I had a final product which is what you see me wearing on my wedding day.

I never called myself an artist up until recently when I decided to try another medium of art and realized that I am in fact an artist. Cake decorating is an art form. Sugar flowers is an art form. Painting is an art form. And what I did to my wedding dress is an art form.

I know the majority of you are here for the cakes and seeing art in a form of food! But I wanted to share another art piece that I am extremely proud of and took up a big portion of my schedule this time last year. If it wasn’t for my experience cake decorating and using other mediums, I would have never been confident enough to pull this off.

So I want to say thank you to every single one of you for continuing to support me in doing what I love to do: pushing my comfort level to make sweet things happen.
