I recently completed a batch of boards that included the unique challenge of a handwritten recipe engraving. Converting the picture of a handwritten recipe card to a clean and legible laser engraving was no easy feat, but the results came out better than I expected. What a wonderful idea for a keepsake board. Also now I know how to make tasty rolls.

I had the pleasure of delivering this board to some wonderful friends recently to celebrate the completion of their home.

Grating beeswax is definitely my favorite part of making my Board Restore cream. The fluffy golden curls...the delicious smell of Canadian honey... resisting the urge to pop a pinch into my mouth... Now I'm not saying I have, but did I mention it's food grade and safe to eat?

One man's cutoffs is another man's cheese board.
This small charcuterie board is a custom order for a friend. It's always nice to give wood headed for the bin a new purpose.

Against Management's wishes this walnut beauty went to its forever home today.

Finally getting back to some endgrain shenanigans! Time to queue up some audio books before the endless hours of sanding begins.

Cody at did an amazing job milling up this maple for me. It will be a year or two before its dry enough to use, so hopfully that's enough time to decide what I want to do with it...

Whipping up a new batch of board restore. Experimenting with adding a hint of citrus. Not sure how beeswax and oil got all over the kitchen.

Zebra wood charcuterie board for my mom. Its almost as classy as she is.

Clamping up a round tabletop can be quite tricky. The end of the cauls can double up as a parallel clamping surface.

I really enjoy the warm contrasting colours that you sometimes get with maple end grain. This board will be going to its forever home once travel is safe again.

I don't always make charcuterie boards... but when I do, I use zebra wood.

They all say you can't have enough clamps... challenge accepted.
