“We are thrilled to welcome Fil to his new role. His deep commitment to Catholic education and proven leadership with HSCDSB will be immeasurable,” said HSCDSB Chair, Gary Trembinski. “We are confident that he will continue to lead our schools to even greater heights and continue building on the excellent work of our current Director, Danny Viotto. Students in Gr. 3/4 enjoyed this beautiful day learning at St. Kateri. They learned about the importance of teamwork, safety, and taking care of our earth. They discussed habitats and food chains with Mr. Sicoly. He reminded them about the needs of living things and together they listed advantages and disadvantages of being predators, prey and decomposers. They played games, went on a Scavenger Hunt and ended with a group hike. It was a great day! We are feeling blessed.☀️🌳❤️
St. Mary's French Immersion kicked off Catholic Education Week with an event celebrating Indigenous culture. Bear Creek drummers and dancers demonstrated various styles of dance for our school community. Students had the opportunity to ask questions of the Jingle Dress Dancers, Grass Dancer, Traditional Dancer and Fancy Dancers! Our school community learned so much and we are so grateful that they were able to come and share their gifts and culture with us.
