Hey PeerConnex Community!
Just sending out a reminder that our free “Supporting the Support” group is running virtually this evening from 6-7pm.
This group is for any individual who has ever supported, or currently supports someone struggling with mental health and, or addiction/substance use disorders.
Our space is for workers, family members, partners, siblings, friends or anyone who feels they could benefit learning and sharing in this inclusive space.
We know that connection is so important, and always want YOU to know that love is always free. We’re here for you. 🧡
See you there!
Hey you!
Don’t forget that tonight we are hosting our virtual group for the supports of anyone struggling with mental health, addiction, isolation, or anything that’s challenging for you on your own.
This is open to ALL interested and completely FREE to attend. Information below. 🧡
Tomorrow is the start of something we can’t wait to share with our community. 🧡
Over the almost year we have been working with individuals, we have realized that support systems of people struggling are struggling too. We see you, and we’re here for you. Due to extensive wait times, overflowed services and under-funded resources that support people with substance misuse, the care often falls on family or loved ones.
PeerConnex and our team wants to offer a space where you can learn, share and receive inclusive information and support on how to navigate these unique situations.
Love is always free and this is our extension of love to our community.
If you feel you could benefit from attending this group facilitated by Bailey and Shawn, please email [email protected] to let us know of your interest in our Wednesday group and we will ensure you have the information to attend. 🫂

We’ve had a lot of you asking how to help, so we created a small list of items that we could really use while we bring all of this together. These items will help build the gifts we will be handing out… 🎅🏼
On top of this, monetary donations can now be made to “[email protected]”, every little bit helps us moving forward and we’re so grateful for everyone’s generosity already. 🙏🏼
We know that this time of year can be difficult for most, so our hope is that anyone who needs that little bit of extra love joins us at our table.
See you there. 🧡🎄✨
As Mo-vember comes to an end this year, we just wanted to remind the men in our community to take care of yourself! 🍒
1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lives and 1 in 30 will die from it. On average, 71 Canadian men are diagnosed everyday.
If diagnosed early enough, it is a very treatable disease with high recovery rates as this form of cancer tends to grow at a slower pace than others.
