September Highlights….Afternoon Music and Dancing was very enjoyable for all who attended as was the Evening Barbecue and Courtyard Chat with Ice Cream on a beautiful Fall afternoon. Residents also enjoyed an Ice Cream Social. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for their continued assistance👏

Great view of the Annual Spruce Grove Agricultural Fair Parade from the parking lot of Grove Manor. Residents had a few visits from those in the parade and those giving out treats. It was a great afternoon🙂

Residents enjoyed a very memorable trip to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. The special bus tour was informative and everyone enjoyed the stories the Tour Guide and other “in character”people that came on the bus to tell us about the building they were from and their story. Very well done👏 We enjoyed lunch afterward with great entertainment. It was a beautiful sunny day to visit.☀️

2024 Grove Manor Summer Olympics-Beach Balloon Volleyball Competition🎈All the residents who participated commented on how much they really enjoyed the game. Both teams were very close in score and both teams won medals👏

Grove Manor 2024 Summer Olympics-Mini Golf-11 Residents joined by spectators participated in the Mini Golf Competition. Medals for First, Second and a tie for Third Place along with a small prize were given out and O Canada was sung at the medal presentation. It was a great afternoon👏 Balloon Beach Volleyball will be the next competition. Watch next week for the results and pictures🎈

Our trip to Peaceful Valley Day Lodge was a very enjoyable day and a highlight of the summer. Thank you to our volunteers and our Alberta Parks Host Couple👏 Residents also enjoyed a BBQ lunch and rides in the trails on the golf carts🙂

Generation Program Students were in to join residents for a game of floor shuffleboard and residents also enjoyed painting wooden butterflies to hang in their room or put on their door. Thank you to our volunteers for their assistance to residents who need it🙂

Great to have Kim and Toby, our Pet Therapy Volunteers in this week to visit with residents who really enjoyed seeing them🙂 Also, this week, many thanks to Carol, our Volunteer Instructor for leading the residents and those of us helping residents to complete their very colourful painting of a peacock which all the residents were appreciative of.

Easter Egg Hunt with a line up waiting to find the Easter treats including one young surprise visitor taking part at the end who came early with her mother for the Bunny Races. Thank you to all the staff and volunteer bunny racers and our volunteers who helped with the egg hunt and the bunny race game. Great fun was had by all🐰The end of the week was the Easter Tea very much enjoyed by the residents. Many thanks to our volunteers who helped make the afternoon so special👏

March’s Monthly Birthday with Entertainment, Cake and Refreshments.🎂🎈

A great St. Patrick’s Day Party, great food and Excellent East Coast Music for Entertainment 🎶 Prizes were awarded to the best dressed residents, staff and volunteers for St. Patrick’s Day Theme Day. Everyone said they had a great time👏
