Just absolutely ECSTATIC for this to be starting soon!

falllinefitness will be hosting the Climb Strong Series (CSS) this FALL-WINTER.

The CSS is a year-round training and coaching program for climbers looking to perform in the sport, improve injury resiliency, reduce fatigue and have more fun!

CSS will be focusing on a carefully planned strength program for climbers that takes them from performing in the fall to gaining strength in the fall, and feeling as physically prepared as possible come the 2025 outdoor season. This is a program meant for the long-term goal setter, climbers who are ready to take their climbing grades to the next level, whether that is 5.10, V14, 5.14, or V4. If you are someone ready to climb harder, stronger, and safer, then you should keep your eyes out for more updates soon on this strength program.

SHOUT OUT TIME!
This is Spencer Hutchinson. Today ay 10am he'll be racing his first 120 MILE (193 km) race. Oh and incase that didn't sound knarly enough, the race will also have 8000 m of elevation! 😲⛰️

Spenc has been training with us at all year for this, and is 100%for his big battle! We know he's going to crush this, and what an amazing experience it'll be for him! We are so excited for you Spenc. Get out there and kill it!

Today was a busy day!

Coach Manny has been hard at work with the team !

Manny was hired as a consultant to redesign and help construct the new weightroom at Squamish's favorite climbing gym. And we're happy to say that the redesign was a big success!!!

Our goal was to create a space for climbers to train that was safer, more spacious, and more accessible. The old space felt to crowded, and would literally have people working out over top of each other.

There is still more to come, with new equipment on its way thanks to our friend KyleDow . And the possibility of more improvements come the fall and winter. Stay tuned for more!

For now, we hope that this space can improve the services provided to all the climbers at Ground Up.

Can't wait for you to try this place out!

Stoked to be multi-national and Canadian. Canada has brought me and my family so much! Our lives have been completely different, with opportunities and privileges that we couldn't get anywhere else. I live everyday trying to be thankful and appreciative of what I have. I hope you do too!

We are so excited to get our class going soon! Lately, at falllinefitness we've been busy getting a new tech going, and are planning to present it to our Run Strength Class. So stoked for you to see it! Therefore, we've pushed our class back one week to help prepare for the inclusion of to our athletes. We thank everyone for their patience as we take this step forward in providing the absolute best in sports science and coaching!

Official new record by a young Canadian! Amazing!

This past weekend .lifts .annabarker._ ran her 30 km race in Whistler.

Through her training she faced a couple of bumps and hiccups (twisting her ankle like a month out!) but she STILL managed stick to her training, her rehab with and crushed her goal!!!

Anna beat her time by nearly 16 min this year! Her training really paid off. She has one more 1/2 marathon to crush. No doubt she'll crush that too!!

Anna's training consisted of a carefully planned run training, strength training, and using bike and pool sessions as accessories as she got ready for her longest race yet!

RUNNERS!
The time has come, Fall Line Fitness will be hosting a running strength class starting June 17th (see poster for details). We are excited to get all runners into tip-top shape for the summer, and fall season. Come join us for our 6-week program, where the focus of the class will be to improve your strength, injury resiliency, and help you resist fatigue for longer!
The class is Kinesiologist and Strength Coach led (Manny Cabrera MKin, CSCS, STRT, ISAK), with oversight from our lead Physiotherapist Emilie Whittemore MPT, CSCS.
The class is capped at 6 people, allowing all runners to receive individualized coaching. All runners will have accurate tracking of their strength and a final report post 6 weeks to take home with them.

Congratulations to a Mountain Top SC and Fall Line athlete ! He just ran his first 50km race, in prep for his big goal of 120 miles!

Spencer's been a fantastic athlete, diligent with his training program, hitting the strength work and running volume even through little niggles and small injuries. Spence was able to stick to the plan, and crush his race! What a proud dad, husband and overall amazing guy!

We've been stoked to help him achieve his running goals. We can't wait to see him achieve more and more in the near future! Shoutout to his partner in crime .c.hutch always supporting him too!

Community Day at falllinefitness

This upcoming Saturday we'll be hosting a day where Squamish community members can book a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, or Kinesiologist at a REDUCED price! Our aim is to offer services to people in the community that would benefit from a reduced price.

Additionally, 100% of the money we fundraise that day will go to a local organization, Pearl Space. Pearl Space is dedicated to preventing violence against women, Two Spirit, gender-diverse, non-binary, trans people, and children/youth by providing inclusive, supportive services to individuals and communities within the Sea to Sky corridor and Stl’atl’imx regions.

At falllinefitness we've been working hard in completing assessments for our athletes. We offer performance assessments for all sports, including a Runner's Assessment.

Our Runner's Assessment combines strength testing of the ankle, knee, and hip, paired with a VO2 max treadmill test that gives you an accurate aerobic reading, recommendations on what training zones or HR% to work on, and a look at asymmetries between your left and right leg.

What is Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S)?

It is the collection of symptoms that indicate that there may be insufficient energy intake, relative to the sport the athlete participates in. It's most commonly seen in endurance athletes, and aesthetic sports like gymnastics, dance, and cheer.

Although any gender and s*x can be effected by it, the symptoms are most commonly seen in females participating in sports as women.

Get to know the signs so that you can better monitor yourself, your teammates and your friends. This infographic from Athletics Canada does a good job explaining the phenomenon.

CLIMBING STRENGTH CLASS

With the sun and nice weather starting to peak through, we are all excited to get climbing outside! We're excited to get our spring strength class going. Starting April 1st we'll be having our 6-week class running. We have most of the class filled, but a couple of spots remain on the team.

Improve your strength, endurance, and movement quality with our climbing strength class at falllinefitness. We offer in person sessions with a certified Kinesiologist to guide you through your rehab program. A Kinesiologist can make sure your exercises are done correctly. And they will work with your physiotherapist to move your rehab routine forward at a pace appropriate for you.

Climbing Strength Class week 5 is going great! A few focus points to touch on...

- Everyone's feeling HUNGRIER (yay!) and eating to match
- Strength and endurance is transferring NICELY to new and old projects!
- Less pump and fatigue felt climbing
- Entering and staying in the "flow state" is happening more
- End season goals are now almost reached, forcing the climbers to set bigger and more badass goals!

Next week is our final week of training, including our final test date.

Our climbers today came READY for their strength retesting session, just look at those try-hard faces!!

After 6 weeks, these climbers came back to retest their strength and performance. Their ABSOLUTE strength gains were phenomenal, in most cases either DOUBLING or TRIPLING their Week 1 strength measures.
