Starting in September, we have made a few alterations to the appearance of our class schedule. You will notice we have changed Level 2 to “Intermediate” and we have added a new class title: Mixed Apparatus.

Curious what Mixed Apparatus is? In this class, the instructor may use multiple pieces of apparatus and equipment to help grow and deepen your Pilates practice. Reformer, Tower, Pilates Arcs and/or even the jump board may be utilized in these classes to provide a fun, well-rounded experience. This class is great for people who typically attend classes where the instructor uses the Reformer exclusively. You will be able to take your Reformer knowledge and apply it to all the other apparatuses that Seed Studio offers.

Are you consistently attending classes at Seed and still buying passes? We do offer monthly memberships.

Your options are:

5 x a month for $175.00 ($35/class)
8 x a month for $280.00 ($35/class)
Unlimited x a month for $400.00

As a monthly member you receive 15% off all apparel which includes socks as sticky socks are mandatory in the studio.

This is an automatic payment and a valid credit card is needed. We require a min. 3 month commitment however, we do believe that Pilates is a journey and with your journey 3 months is never enough 😉

We do allow a 1 time hold on your membership per year.

Our smiley, bubbly, blonde, blue eyed Kelly will be phasing out of the studio as she begins her maternity leave and approaches motherhood!

We wish her all the best and can’t wait to see her back in the studio when she’s ready to come back!

During the summer, Thursday evening classes will be canceled however, Sunday Mat classes will still be running!

Since stepping away from the studio at the end of 2023 for due to a loss, I’ve found healing in indulging my obsession for Wellness by going back to school to study Functional Nutrition.

I love the whole body healing & holistic wellbeing found in the marriage of movement and mastering how we nourish our bodies. I’ve taken the nerd level up several notches when it comes to Food/Nutrition and spend most of my time with my 3 boys, in my kitchen or in my garden — or in the Pilates studio!

I’m so looking forward to getting back into the studio, it is truly such an honour to practice the thing I love so much with so many beautiful souls! 💫

We understand the cost of Pilates can be a roadblock for many of you, even if you are eager to give it a try. Often the dollar/per hour value of Pilates (Joseph Pilates’ contrology, not Pilates-inspired) is compared against the median rates for other types of athletics and fitness, but Pilates is so much more than simply another form of “exercise”. When she’s not at the studio, Deniece enjoys spending time at home, going for a run, or watching live music!

Summer is her favourite season and you can often find her hanging out at one of the many lakes in the Sea to Sky.

A RMT uses the techineque called Intraoral buccal massage. Intraoral bucal massage offers unique benefits by targeting muscles inside the mouth and along the cheeks. This techinque helps alleviate tension and tightness in those areas. By releasing muscular restrictions in the jaw, cheeks, and even the tongue, intraoral buccal massage can provide relief from the TMJ dysfunction, jaw clenching and teeth grinding. As well as, it can improve in chewing and speaking. Overall, intraoral buccal masage offers a holistic approach to addressing oral and facial tension, enhancing both physical comfort and well-being.

Have you ever been interested in trying the Cardio Jump class but slightly apprehensive about the level of difficulty and/or unsure of just what the heck “Pilates jumping” looks like? Well, now is your chance to give it a try! This will be a slightly slower paced class with more detailed instructions; however, you should still except to get that heart rate up and break a sweat!

Heather will be hosting an intro to jump class on Thursday March 21 and 28th at 9:30am. Come join her!

Benefits of Pilates during Perimenopause and Menopause.

During the stages of perimenopause and menopause, our bodies go through a wide range of changes including hot flashes, weight gain, hormone imbalances, mood swings and more.  Regular exercise, such as Pilates, can help alleviate some of these symptoms and increase overall well being.
The decrease in estrogen levels during menopause can actually increase the risk of developing osteoporosis.  Some may also notice a reduction in sleep quality and increase in stress and anxiety.  Not to worry – regular exercise can increase energy, improve sleep and boost mood.  Overall, incorporating exercise, like Pilates, into daily routines during perimenopause and menopause will lead to enhanced physical and mental health.
