Where did my little girl go? She's growing so fast and becoming so independent. I swear when I blink, she shoots up another inch or more.

Thankful that I'm able to be around more and don't have to miss too much, as I'm afraid how much she'd shoot up if I had to go for more than a few hours.

As you all know, I'm a huge fan of remote and flexible work. As I've laid out many times before, there are so many perks to this type of lifestyle. Today my focus is on the avoidance of snowy and icy roads.

There's no need to spend an excessive amount of time on icy, snow-filled roads when you can avoid that downright scary experience. Now instead of stressing about whether the roads are plowed yet, whether I should leave or use a vacation day or whether I'll get stuck somewhere on the highway, I gracefully make my way to the coffee pot and settle down at my kitchen table by the warm, cozy fire and plug in.

Some days I feel this to really be true 🤣

Despite the difference between now and then, I'm thankful for remote work so I don't have to stress about finding childcare last minute so I can go to work or having to use up my valuable vacation days.

Things I've learned in life:

#1 - If you don't go after what you want in life, you'll never have it.

#2 - If you don't ask, the answer is always no.

#3 - If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.
