This is especially important for motor development. Often times it’s assumed that skipping the crawling stage is fine because baby has moved on to walking. But that crawling stage is where baby builds further core strength, shoulder stability, arm and hand strength, ability use of both sides of body and more. All these small skills helps to further develop the cognitive and motor skills required to begin to learn to hold a pencil and mark make on paper.
